Nice. Who milled the head for you?Refreshed head with 12 thousands removed and new valve guides. Purrs like a kitten again.

Gunn did the head refresh. I did most of the work Friday the 3rd and finished everything up on the 4th to celebrate merica 250!

Installed Terrain Tamer parabolic lift. I’m really impressed by the ride quality. Mustard had a 5.5 shackle lift with oem springs. I completely blew the old Monroe shocks in Moab.

Noticeably better than the lift oem with shackle lift on it yes. Wyatt’s 40 has pro comp and it does ride better than that. I think new shocks would improve his ride quality. It’s noticeable but is it worth swapping out a good dobinsons, I don’t know. I’d talk to Nolen about that. I have OME springs I’m going to put on the 64. And should get a side by side comparison in a couple weeks. Leadville is next weekend. I’m not riding but my buddy’s daughter is and I’m going out to crew for her

New OEM rear view mirror. The other was brittle and falling apart and the glass faded to the 1800s

ok, Wyatt says it’s noticeable. He daily’s a 40 and just spent tha last 2 days on handcart, radical hill swan Mtn, the rest of those trails and i70 back. Hopped in my 40 to go down the road and said it’s a noticeable difference. Anyone is welcome to take a ride in it.

Here are the dead shocks. At least one was completely dead and it was an issue driving as the right front would bounce around it you hit a bump in the road. The rest were leaking. New TT Parabolic is still running good.
Took a shake out to Jenny creek.

I put the head back on and with the old rocker assembly toast due to no oil I put on the 76 large push rods and older rocker assembly. I finally found a good later model to match the 83 engine. Put that on and adjusted the valves.

Before the whole head gasket issue I did replace the side window rubber seal. All the rubber seals are new except for the hard top fiberglass to the top panels. I’ll do that when I redo the headliner

Is it just the angle of the dangle (picture) or is the rear axle is pushed forward / not centered?

Exacerbated by the camera, driveway angle and new with unsprung weight in the rear. It's just like OME springs that will set the tire forward so that when the spring flexes and shackle rotates back it has room. Must be an aussie thing. I thought about redrilling the spring perch installing OME on my 64 but it doesn't bother me that much. You could look at some on Nolen's (89nolder) pics of 40s 45s and 60s same thing. Pic below shows it's not that bad at different angle.

Well, the left rear wheel cylinders blew out and drained the reservoir on the way back from Jenny creek. I ordered up some parts and replaced all 4 cylinders and pads. Then we bled the brakes. They need some more adjusting. I forgot to take pics once I got in a groove. Pic is the right side which didn’t blow out but replaced anyway.
