After two and a half years I am finally getting a winch back! Fresh powder on the bumper and a winch to to back up my lines...

Did the coolant temp gauge mod ro my 80 series. Bought a couple resistors in case I screwed one up but ended up not needing the extras. Works great!

Had a new steering servo installed. Finally showed up after months of backorder. Now if it would dry up outside the boy and I could set up a few comp courses.

Trying to fix up the interior on my new 80 series. Its trashed. The shifter bezel was pretty bad. Filled the drilled holes, applied raptor raptor to the top...

did you have a bunch of stuff to shoot that raptor with? I can't imagine doing a full bottle set up and only spraying that one piece.

Working on the FJ60 daily since last weekend for upcoming Iowa/Nebraska/Wyoming//Montana Run: I did some electrical recon & located my parasitic drain, coming from incorrectly connected IPF aux lights. (doh!) mounted up RTT, Oil change, lubed suspension & drivetrain, checked Knuckle & U bolts, cleaned it. (What am I forgetting?) :wrench:

Just need to pack it with gear and I'm ready to roll! :thumb::beer:

Got my new leaf springs in. Sits about an inch lower which is perfect. Once they break in I’ll pull the rear 1” block for a low and slow approach.

Looks like u got enough fender clearance to go lower if u wanted maybe. Looks better lower like that. I'm sure it will feel better on the trail.

R&R front Diff - installed new gasket, inspected gears (good)
R&R drivers side knuckle (new trunions, wipers and seal, inspect and repacked wheel bearings, birf back in, spindle and hub back on, need to set bearing pre-load and complete the side.
Pass side: disassembled, knuckle still on, tomorrow decide whether to R&R trunions or just re-assemble.

Agreed. The rear doesn’t have as much unfortunately.

Thanks. Was at it all day again. By 8PM today it was complete! Test drive a success.

Pass side I did not take it down to Trunions. It was done 1 year ago. Also cleaned and lubed front driveshaft splines, lubed all u-joints, changed oil.

Decided to take this rim out of service. Swapped the spare tire rim to the good tire. Now need to get a rim at the Yota yard tomorrow!

A few years ago, I bought a 3/4 length Gamaviti Rack directly from the kind gentleman proprietor. I originally attempted to install it w/o removing the factory rack, but this didn't work for me. I tried to remove the factory rack, but a couple of the bolts spun. I gave up and put the rack on the side of my house, where it sat for several years.

Last week, I finally removed the factory rack, sealed up the holes, and installed my new rack! This thing is sweet!!!

In less glamorous news, I also installed a shiny new factory-refurb starter purchased from Stevinson Toyota West. Got a great price from Derek -- RS membership has its privileges!
