Not the cruiser, but the fun car!

Full service, all fluids, filters, belts, spark plugs and coil packs. Was a good day!

New lights for the ol' bumper.
ARB LED markers from Cruiser Outfitters.
BD SAE Fogs from Slee Off-road.
Bring on the darkness!

I’ve been working on replacing the K&N “ cold air” intake with all factory stock components. These K&N intakes are a scam.
So now I’ve wrapped all the intake components in heat reflecting tape and wrapped the intake tube with insulation and tape. I also wrapped the header on the passenger side all the way down to the first CAT. All in an attempt to make sure the air coming in is as low a temperature as possible. I’ll be monitoring MPG to see if there is any positive effects. I did notice better mileage after just switching back to the stock intake set up. 64198BB5-C811-4810-BEE9-84BB5BD4C6CE.jpeg

Scope creep on a knuckle job. Resulted in pulling the whole front end out and refreshing everything.

They let a bunch of super fine dust through also.

Apparently the stock rear swaybar on a gx470 is only good for 233,947.5 miles.

edit: well that was a failure... couldn't upload a pic from my phone yesterday. This is a better post with the picture of the old one, sorry about that!

Replaced the lower shock (ram) bushings in my '99 LX470. I cut out the old ones with a Sawzall and chamfered the new ones with a grinder (more than the factory did), then froze them, slobbered them up with anti-seize, and pressed them in. No fun at all, but the job is done. The bushings failed far before 342K, but that's when they got replaced. New one included for reference. This job would be a snap with the ram off the truck, but that involves tearing into the AHC, which adds another dimension of time/mess/money.
