What have you done to your rig today?

Oil change and tire rotation. I think I like lowering the spare from under the 250 less than lifting the spare 37 up on the bumper carrier on the 80.

The 275/70r18 from the 250 looks to be the same height as my 315/75r16 on the 80 despite spec’d at only 33.2” tall.

Got some thread adapters from McMaster Carr and put a new shift knob on the 60. So impractical but looks killer.20241220_143911.jpg20241220_094925.jpg

Interesting, that's the exact oil filter that goes on my wife's 2009 Yaris and her 2021 RAV4. That's handy, I keep those on my shelf all the time. How many miles do you have on your 250? I have around 3,900.

Im at just under 2000 since mid August but mine is a bit of a garage queen at this time. Too many old cheaper rigs to stack the miles on at the moment.

Finally got around to installing my OEM dashcam. I choose to order it from the parts dept, rather than factory installed so that I could install it in the passenger side. 2 banana install. I ended up breaking one tiny plastic tab on the clamshell trim thing surrounding the rear view mirror. Fully assembled it does not seem to matter. No noticeable movement.

Ceiling switch/light panel removed. This is the hardest part

Reassembled with camera on right side out of my line of sight

Installed a Toyota reboot kit on the Tundra drivers side cv axle on Saturday. Crazy how the boot got torn...the dang splash guard separated from the inter fender and logged itself between the outer cv boot and the steering linkage. The cv boot was spinning against the splash guard which eventually wore a hole in the boot. Just my luck! At least the fix was inexpensive and took about 2 hours. I'll be replacing all the janky plastic splash guard connectors with a more secure solution after this debacle.

Making a Franken-Shroud from two Toyota shrouds. Fortunately I have two spares if I screw this up.

While the dashes apart, removed the blower and swapped in a spare that I had because the long cruiser was mixing, it’s lower cover and blend door. While in there, I took a fan that I thought was black when I first pulled it out and made it look like new. Q-tips may have been involved.

Installed a non-Lexxus antenna. Had to swap the bracket to make it work and it won’t have the memory position but it will work.
Inspired by a 3FE rear heater delete have a valve that opens in the direction a V8 swap prefers(right to left) and clean routing. Rear limo heat will run under the floor outside the frame rails now that the exhaust will be inside the rails.
