Is POR-15 vapor that bad? I mean I am sure isn't great but is it really deadly?

Tongue-in-cheek, I'll get exposed to some pretty nasty stuff with the 2K, namely isocyanate. The classic POR-15 Rust Prevention doesn't have it, but anything with 2K coatings will have isocyanate, which is terrible. PPE FTW, that's why I'll look like Walt in my garage when doing it; neighbors will love me even more.

What Dave said.

Toyota Skid Plate upgrade. I assume these are the same as what comes on a First Edition. The first section of my Premium was steel but the section under the engine was plastic. And then nothing under the trans and t-case. Side note, the parts guy offered me TRD or TrailHunter skids as an option. So I’m going to assume Tacoma and LC250 skids are interchangeable.

Changed the oil as well.

I needed to get the RTT off the Tundra so I can have my truck back, as well as clear out some space in my shop. So I decided to finish putting together the offroad trailer that I picked up from @shellb back in June. I was able to get an inspection as a home built and get it titled and all legal.

New cats on my truck. Original cats finally gave up the ghost after 300k. I went with 2.5" Magnaflows that are CARB certified. Changed the downpipes to 2.25" from original 1.9." Got a few more decibels and a nice meaty tone as well. Picked up some mid-range and top end power. ECU passed the catalyst check immediately. Hell yeah!

They were cheap too, only $200 each. CARB EO and everything. https://amzn.to/4di8YBw

Picked mine up from Elements Media here in Durango with a clear bra installed and UV film on all the windows including the sunroof. No noticeable additional tint but blocking some heat. Drove home with the sunshade open on the roof. I didn’t feel like I was in a greenhouse.

On Sat/Sunday, replaced the intake manifold gasket and both valve cover gaskets on my daughter's '00 4Runner, with 295K miles. 3.4 V6. A thoroughly miserable job, sucking up both days. The intake has been oozing pink coolant for a couple years, and the valley had globs of coolant and oil sludge in it (here and there - see first pix). All back together (with FelPro gaskets) and not leaking. New spark plugs, PCV, and grommet, too. The last pix shows the roached-out factory gaskets with the orange goop around the water ports.

My daughter get bonus points for sticking through the entire job on Sunday, from 9:30 AM - 6 PM. This is possibly the toughest and most exhausting repair I have ever done, and that includes lots of engine and trans work. The wiring harness plays heck with getting the intake off, and there are plastic wiring looms that shatter and drop chunks into the valley (or the intake ports, if not protected). Frustrating.

We did the timing belt and radiator earlier this summer, and the front brake pads, rotors, and brake booster. So, she's getting the full show on 'how old Toyotas need maintenance and repair'. Anyway - so far, so good.

I covered the nooks and crannies, including the inside, with Eastwood Rust Encapsulator and 2K AeroSpray Spray. I am pleased, but there is so much more to go. I'm not touching the suspension since it'll be ripped out later.

New brake booster - thanks Decatur Toyota!
Everyone says the replacement is difficult because the intake manifold and master cylinder are in the way. Did this for easy “while in there” and peace of mind for the heavy rig.
New master cylinder. LSPV delete. All new rubber hoses.

spent a chunk of last week cleaning and organizing my shop which included washing the herd. Decided to take advantage of having them all clean this morning for a group photo.

I just realized you have the exact same stable as I do: two 40s, a 45, a 60 and a 250!

Good idea. I recently replaced my booster with one from City Racwr. I had to file the casting flash from the intake manifold a little so it would slip in there.
