Wallet is great stuff, I just got back from Lexington and surrounding area doing the bourbon trail! Jim beam and buffalo trace were my most enjoyable as far as sampling and info. The wallet rye is great!

I was able to get a sample of a 16 yr Hirsch gold foil bourbon. I thought it was pretty good but a bit soft on the palette for a bourbon that's considered one of the best ever...

Father’s Day was good to me....not the highest quality, but the quantity should allow me to share with friends! My wife either thinks I’m an alcoholic, or she’s trying to make me one!

Edit: totally kidding about the quality...very happy with most of Cary’s selections!

Paul,
You should invite your neighbor over. I hear he has some outstanding Whisky. :D

Jeff...not sure how I missed this message a year and a half ago! Probably too much bourbon ;). Might need your brisket recipe too!!!

That Four Roses SiB is a personal favorite, and it's always available on the shelf.

I buy it all the time. I like it...super cheap for a 10 year bourbon. Go get another one for yourself :)

My local supplier only sees 6 bottles of this a year he said. So unlikely that I’ll be able to do so any time soon :(.

It's a single barrel bottle, so there is some variability that makes some bottles much better than others. But I've never had a "bad" one.

Received a bottle of holiday cheer from a friend this afternoon. Very smooth. The last bourbon I had that was combined with port I did not care for. This is far more subtle and I’m enjoying it.

Just watched this video on YouTube on clear ice for whiskey. I’m going to try it.

Cheap beer alert- total beverage in Westminster is selling cases of Breckenridge “united in orange” for $10. It’s not very good, imo... but not too orangey so it’s at least drinkable. It comes in 19.2oz cans- which must have been derived from the average amount of time required for the Broncos to give up the lead in the 4th quarter. But hey, you can get 15 of these for $10.

Kurt I tried the ice thing... used a plastic coffee cup. Seemed to work ok, not the clearest but a big hunk of ice nonetheless... I may keep playing with that, thanks for the vid!

I've tried that clear ice block trick too. Its fun for cocktails and definitely looks better in a glass. The round molds are a lot harder, but for squares and rectangles it works great.
