Drove it! I did about seven local miles in Erie. Still have my transmission drip, but hoping that after a few drives, it might sort itself out. I totally forgot to test my cruise control! But maybe I couldn’t have because I wasn’t going much over 40 miles an hour anywhere.

Much thanks to @MonPetiteShoe for a full day of camaraderie and hard work yesterday here at Long cruiser garage. We did so many things. I can’t list them all but the last thing we did was a whole bunch of maneuvering and casting to get the rear of this truck ready to roll out and this very important emblem.

Huge thanks also yesterday @RayRay27 for coming by for a visit and donating a old but fantastic condition deep cycle marine battery.

On my drive up today I had a great visit with @nakman and then @LARGEONE who both donated batteries to the cause. And those batteries are in fantastic condition.

Because I didn’t get a great night sleep last night. I got a relatively late morning start and then I spent a lot of time socializing with Tim and Paul, but that’s what it’s all about. Both visits were great.

On the test drive today @satchel and family followed me around the block in case something went bad those first critical couple miles and then I paid a visit in town @Westward Cruiser and family.

Drove the 40 to work today. Been hibernating all winter. Was supper happy with one finger driving at 70 mph. Always puts a smile on my face driving this thing and reminds me of the good times with Bob

Did a full brake job on my 100. Went with a set of reman calipers and stainless lines, Powerstop Extreme pads and rotors. Couldn't resist the red powdercoated calipers. Had a couple sticking calipers, worst of all was the rear passenger caliper which had a messed up sliding pin for only the past ~100k miles.

Took the camp trailer I plan to pull to Cruise Moab for a run up some hills to see how the 60 would do. Not going to be passing people on Vail pass but it should get us there and back. The trailer is somewhere around 2000 LBS as it sits, I expect it will gain 300 LBS or so with the rest of the camping gear and a full fridge. Also mounted my solar to the top of the tent so I can charge the battery and keep the fridge cold while traveling.

Looking forward to CM.

That is looking great! Glad you are able to put it to work vs it just sitting here unfinished!

After losing my headlights on the 60 on the way to last nights meeting I pulled the switch this afternoon and think I found the cause. A bit of solder and all appears to be working well again.

Repaired/refoamed the subwoofer on my 2005 LC 100 series! Surprisingly pretty easy to do. Used the foam kit from Simply Speaker (6 Toyota JBL, TK-FSK-6bt). Fit was perfect. Kit comes with glue. Sounds great, and no more rattling!

Removed the front lower spoiler things to gain some approach angle going into wheeling season

Installed a set of Slee Sliders.

Front Timbren bump stops

Rear Timbren SES, trying to gain some stability towing. The 250 feels soft, well soft compared to the Slee Heavy springs in the back of my 80-Series

"Slider" verse "Rock Rail" There is a difference. But is difference needed? Up to the individual. After looking at the OEM I don't feel they would take an impact but would take a rub.

Hmm, I haven't seen Slee's 250 solution, but the factory sliders appear just as beefy as his 80 and 100 products.

When Toyota had their FJC design team out to meet with Rising Sun in 2005, they explained that "sliders" conjures up images of little hamburgers so they use the term rock rail. I remember when Bruce Miller was making them for 40s at EPOCHS Mfg. he was calling them nerf bars.
