If anyone has any coms I could borrow for this run it would be much appreciated. Have not set up anything in the 80 yet since we almost always go on solo adventures.
If you have a radio I can borrow id be happy to bring a coffee order to go with your burrito.
One comment about tire chains as someone mentioned to me that they didn't have any and were concerned that they would need them for this trip... I just got a set and may throw them on to see how well they fit as this is a good opportunity. Unless the road is densely packed snow to ice, you shouldn't have any more issues that anyone else. I have never run them on this run and made it almost to the top. It was a blast! I winches myself as well as others. People got stuck and snatched out. This run can be a demonstration of team work and recovery mixed with a great freaking time! The going can be slow in places. When you get through a section that others get trapped in, it is a rush and confidence builder! Then you get slapped down because you drifted off the side and framed out. Bottom line, its a great time and I learn a lot about my abilities as a driver and my 4runner everytime I run the snow.
Got the time put in for work to hopefully be off. If anyone is open for me riding along, would much enjoy it! Prefer to ride along for this run to take pics ( live downtown)
Hey! I'm new, and I'd like to join in on this run! Ryland has been peer-pressuring me to go (kidding)! It sounds like a total blast and a great chance to learn some intro recovery techniques!

I'm not sure how "hey man, you should come on this run and get stuck in the snow with the rest of us, it'll be fun!" qualifies as "peer pressure", but ok.
FYI, 146.420 is not a valid 2m simplex channel frequency in Colorado. You should go down to 146.415 or up to 146.430. If you use 146.420 you'll actually be on both of those channels.
