Sliding is an understatement, it was controlled out of control slide. If it wasn’t for the ruts it could have been a lot worse. Some of those slides were long and I got to watch many of them when I was helping everyone out. I wish I had my phone which I left in my truck a few hundred yards up the trail. The look on faces were priceless as they began to slide. It reminded me of the Boomerang at Elitch’s.
was that a lot of sliding backwards in the video?

@CardinalFJ60 and I don’t do reverse sliding. At least not after the 2005 Spooky Night Run.

Listening to people describe the snow run last night it sounds like there were some really icy conditions. I remembered a recovery a friend sent me. I don't have Facebook, but could still see the pictures on CO4x4RR's website of this LX470 slipping on an ice flow. Ouch.

Nice recovery - crazy ice out there. Glad the run went well.

That doesn't look fun. Most of the icy spots were hill sections and there were pretty good ruts that kept you on a track while you were thinking "oh s**t"

Yeah it wasn't *that* bad. It was similar to what it has been for the past several years. The ruts kind of keep you on the trail. The main thing is stay off the brakes and keep the tires rolling so you have some semblance of steering.
