Kurt posted this on MUD. Looks like a factory high air intake. And the trail dust two tone on the “LandCruiser” trim. This is looking like my dream equipment package. Hoping it’s not covered in “Trailhunter” badges.

Remember “Bumhunters”?
That’s actually the Bumhunter edition.
The Toyota team lost a bet and the Lexus guys got to name this one… Yep, Bumhunters, if you think I’m joking look at Kurt’s profile pic on mud. Bumhunters!
You may recall the Bumhunters guy was Australian, so it’s not that weird…

Sorry if this was already asked/answered, but I'm too lazy to read through the previous pages of posts. Why do some of the pics show it having round headlights, and others show it with ugly little rectangular lights? Is it an option, or just concept renders? 🤔

IIRC, there are different trim levels, or versions if you will, and at different price points with different options. For example, when I was shopping for my wife's RAV4, there are 3 different versions, LE, XLE and Limited. I think there are about 5 or 6 different 4Runners.

The 250 LC will have x3 trim levels, the "1958" is the base trim level that will have round headlights. The mid trim level is the "Land Cruiser" that will have the rectangle headlights. Finally is the "First Edition" trim level that will also have the round headlights, only 5k of those will be available.

Will the 1958 carry a Land Cruiser badge? A "2024 Toyota 1958 250 Series" sounds geeky, like something from a Star Trek show.

I can't imagine that any of the new Cruisers won't have the Land Cruiser badge. I'm sure Toyota noticed all the BS around the FJ Cruiser.

"Land Cruiser will be available in two grades, Land Cruiser 1958 and Land Cruiser."

Ha, yeah. You know Cruiserhead would howl "none of that mini truck nonsense" but using DLX ( or how about just the model name with nothing tacked on?) and SR5 to indicate a typical mid grade has worked for decades and most anyone understands them.

You know what would even better show Toyota listens to their rabid enthusiast base?

Land Cruiser Poverty Spec

Now that would get me in the dealership.

Windows down, yes.
Sunroof open just means a sunburnt head.

The roof came off my 1997 HZJ75 pretty easy and I used to go topless quite a bit. I remember Cruise Moab 2002, I had my hair in a ponytail, and by the second day I thought I had a stiff neck or something. Turned out I had sunburn on my neck on either side of the ponytail.

They all have a "LandCruiser" badge on the rear lift gate, left side. Have not seen any NA prototypes with any trim level badging. The European first edition has "first edition" on the rear corners of prototype. Other markets where the 300-series is available under a Toyota badge have "Prado" below the LandCruiser badge on 250-series. The first edition is said to have badging on inside of doors. I'd like to see them to get numbered in NA like my 40th Anniversary edition. The forever debate in NA will be is it a LandCruiser or a Prado. With LC badge I say LC, Prado or not. The FJC guys will start all these arguments out of spite. I'm really hoping that Toyota does not adopt the trim level names of the Tacoma or 4Runner to the LC. But I suspect we will see "Trailhunter" applied as a package or trim.

This photo pretty much shows example of all of above.

I just noticed that additional red marker light below the rear brake/turn signal assembly. That does not appear in the NA trucks. Must be to satisfy some local markets laws. Wonder if you could order those little corner body panels painted to match then install a bright reverse light into that hole? I always love a modification that looks factory.
