I added back the courtesy/puddle lights on the lx. They go on with the dome light when you unlock or open the doors.

Pulled out everything down to the metal for some cleaning and sound deaded (butyl) + insulated (ccf) the bottom. Still got the doors + ceiling to hit

Installed a rocker switch panel from a guy on MUD and fuse block as well. I originally grounded the fuse block to the factory amp ground under the passenger seat and it immediately killed the battery when I tried starting the car, so I rewired to the battery ground in the engine bay and all is good. Now I just need some more accessories for the switch panel. And to drill a bigger hole in the firewall since the two 10G wires don't fit

The DD got some much needed love today. She was on the back burner all last year New lower control arm bushings. New CV shafts, new lower ball joints, new upper control arm uniballs, and new steering rack bushings.
Still waiting on new rear control arms.
Didn’t get pics as it all went back together.

What rack do you have on the roof?

Eazi-Awn K9 1600 series roof rack. Got the rack from Paul at Equipt Expedition Outfitters.

New front O2 sensors installed in my 99 100 series. I had PB blasted them a week ago. Came out really easy. Tried the O2 socket but found a long 22mm wrench was much easier. Electrical connectors were a major pain especially PS. It’s buried behind and hard to get hands and arms in there.
I have new rear sensors as well but I’ll do that another day. All four Denso sensors were $148 on Amazon. Came with anti sieze for the threads.

Lots of trimming before I can weld but it's getting there.

Progress... I think this may come out alright.

Plenty more grinding then a little bondo at the door jam, sealant at the wheel well, and some quick paint should do it.

Dan, did you have symptoms prior to replacing these?

I had a CEL and limp mode this last weekend when I hadn't given proper time to warm up completely. Code was for an 02 but disco'd battery reset and all good since.

I did have the check engine light and a P0171, cleared it once and it came back.
Ordered the sensors then we had the frigid cold snap so I waited a week to do the replacement.
Limited driving that week.
Check engine went off on its own. Didn't notice when. So I went ahead with the replacement as I had the parts.
So far no check engine light. With WFH I do limited driving lately.

Preston with Apocalyptek Armor (mobile welder) threw on some sliders on the 3rd gen. Super impressed with how they came out. Gonna get him to make up a bumper for the 62 soon.

Dang, those are nice Trey. Was it cheaper than sliders from the usual suspects?

Steps were $480 + $66 shipping. This is the link.

Install was $200. It was nice being able to have him come to me and work with him on exactly how I wanted it all placed, and was cheaper than just about anything else I've found. He does aluminum work as well, so I'll be working with him on some things.

You could get the base steps without the treads and such for $250.

Does he do fuel tank skids for 3rd gens by chance?
I talked to him about building some skids as well. He said he's open to discussing any project I wanted. He doesn't seem scared of custom work. I'll talk to him about posting up here in the vendor section when he comes back out next week to go over bumper stuff.

Installed a power steering cooler on the Tacoma. Trying to keep the new steering rack healthy. I fabbed some tabs using sophisticated machining techniques and welded them to the frame radiator support. Cooler sits above the front skid plate and catches air flow through a gap above the support.
