Power steering cooler.
@ajordan1975 is that black cylindrical thing with fins a fuel cooler?
My VVTi 100 series won't even go 60 towing up Eisenhower! Jealous!Did some camping. Was curious how the 5.3 would do up Eisenhower with the trailer. I hammered it hard up Eisenhower. Coming up from silverthorne to the top-the steeper side- it took all she had to keep it at 60ish mph. Trailer weighs 3500 or so. An extra 50 hp would be nice for that climb. But thats not in the cards right now. Still got some small bugs to fix and just want to enjoy driving it for a while. So that's the plan. Fuel mileage didn't take too much of a hit surprisingly. It got like 10mpg. It felt really stable, braking with the trailer brakes was great.
Put a cam and valve springs in it you’ll be pleased. The 60 did 80 at the tunnel loaded.Did some camping. Was curious how the 5.3 would do up Eisenhower with the trailer. Yeah, is that an old boxer engine?not a rig and not mine but started work on my moms motor. Built it the first time when I was 17 and it lasted 20 plus years of thorough flogging. It lived on the rev limiterView attachment 86977
Yeah I installed it where the stock DVD changer was located. With the DVD player removed there's a big load of space under the console that's not normally accessible. You can see in the photo below when I first installed my CB.@J1000 - can you give me some additional insight into how you installed your Yaesu main radio into the center console? Based on your pictures above, I assume it's in the storage part of the center console (i.e. the "arm rest")? Is the speaker still pretty easy to hear where it's located?
I've been looking for a good place to install mine (honestly, the biggest reason why I haven't installed it and taken the damn FCC test yet), and the center console would be a great spot.
