Replaced the soft fuel lines and fuel filter, do not think it was needed but ordered them in the chase to fix my problem... Talk about a job that should not be done when low on patience. Both soft lines are in the most ridiculous of places

Added a cool Gamiviti antenna mount for my new HAM antenna which was recommended to go with it. Also a cool coax that has a special thinner coax at the end for easier routing.

Had a neighbor sew an armrest cover for me out of duck canvas that closely matches the Carhartt seat covers I have.

Finished my shroud. I can’t really fab anything, but the summit universal kit worked well. I’m happy w/ it.
I need to start my own build thread.

No, stock 80 (brass) radiator. I'm not a fan of the plastic.

Used it like a tractor to pull some suckers and a dead bush.

Did some camping. Was curious how the 5.3 would do up Eisenhower with the trailer. I hammered it hard up Eisenhower. Coming up from silverthorne to the top-the steeper side- it took all she had to keep it at 60ish mph. Trailer weighs 3500 or so. An extra 50 hp would be nice for that climb. But thats not in the cards right now. Still got some small bugs to fix and just want to enjoy driving it for a while. So that's the plan. Fuel mileage didn't take too much of a hit surprisingly. It got like 10mpg. It felt really stable, braking with the trailer brakes was great.

I joined the cool kids club with my shiny new Yaesu FTM-400. I was considering the 300 but glad I went for the 400 as the touchscreen makes it so easy to navigate around vs. twisting and pushing knobs endelessly.

Removed Lexus Link garbage and installed the head unit up here. Very happy with it! Will protect it from getting scratched up etc. The cable was just long enough, not an inch extra. Hopefully GPS doesn't suffer from being right against the metal roof.

I installed the main radio in my center console next to my CB. Getting crammed in there but I'm hoping maybe I can fit a small GMRS in there also...

Mounted the mic with a Nite Ize Steelie. I really love these things. I have them in all of my wife and my cars and our phones, tablets, and even my handheld Yaesu radio. I used the phone sized one for light stuff, the tablet sized one for heavier stuff. https://amzn.to/2ZMHIqP

May install an external speaker, haven't decided yet. The sound does come through the handbrake opening pretty well...I will use it for a little bit and then decide. It is a quiet Lexus after all...

Also polished up my Miata and took her for a spin through Kittridge to Evergreen then to Lookout Mountain and back home.

My VVTi 100 series won't even go 60 towing up Eisenhower! Jealous!

Put a cam and valve springs in it you’ll be pleased. The 60 did 80 at the tunnel loaded.

not a rig and not mine but started work on my moms motor. Built it the first time when I was 17 and it lasted 20 plus years of thorough flogging. It lived on the rev limiter

@J1000 - can you give me some additional insight into how you installed your Yaesu main radio into the center console? Based on your pictures above, I assume it's in the storage part of the center console (i.e. the "arm rest")? Is the speaker still pretty easy to hear where it's located?

I've been looking for a good place to install mine (honestly, the biggest reason why I haven't installed it and taken the damn FCC test yet), and the center console would be a great spot.

Yeah I installed it where the stock DVD changer was located. With the DVD player removed there's a big load of space under the console that's not normally accessible. You can see in the photo below when I first installed my CB.

The metal box to the right of the CB is the factory nav/backup camera I believe. If you remove that then there's another bit of space to use. Not sure what it looks like on an LC or earlier 100.

The sound actually comes through the handbrake gasket area pretty well.
