What have you done to your rig today?

Cleaned the blower fan for the climate system on my rig today. Have heard horror stories where the fan is completely full of lint, dirt, leaves and other debris. I was lucky that I didn't have anything in it at all, just dusty and dirty.

Here's a great write up on MUD on how to do it. It's a one banana job. I don't have any photos because it only took me about 15 minutes to do.

Finished running power to the rear and completed my Landshark outfitters Reef drawers with wings and a Seadek foam top.

Fresh oil in the rear end and on the axle, coil spring, cross member, spare tire, frame, underbody, and other parts in the way when the cap came loose while squeezing the bottle. On a side note, anyone have a better method for filling the rear diff? I had a hose attached to the bottle cap nipple with a clamp. Complete cap failure under a hulk squeeze against the frame!
Also took my rotors to get turned and ended up coming home with a new set due to lack of thickness.

Problem: how to mount a trash bag in the GX 470 without drilling a hole (per my wife). I have tried 3M command hooks 3x on the trans. tunnel plastic, with careful cleaning, and they refuse to stick. So, whip out the welder and make up a steel, hidden trash bag hook holder. The floor mat holds it all in place. A bit esoteric, I will admit.

Did a fuel pump in the DD yesterday.
I’ve officially hit my wall on my LS swap on the 80. ZERO motivation for it at the moment. 😡🤦‍♂️

Replaced two GX470 airbags (easy) and plugged in the switches in the center console that were unplugged :oops::oops::oops::oops: so the stuff actually works. Cleaned out 16 years of gunk too.

Rebuilt the T-Case, and put some low range gears, underdrive high range gears, and a spool in it.

I feel like these gears are some of the best things you can do

I love the extra pep of the 10% underdrive. Looking forward to having a little deeper low range when I get really wedged. I hate that feeling of I got plenty of traction, but because my slider is hung up, I can’t go anywhere.

It feels good with 35s and a supercharger. I also did the transmission shift kit. Changed the whole feeling of the truck

Prepping for the swell... Special thanks to Mr. Jordan for the use of his jack stands!
Old UCA bushings out, new ones in. Next will be the rear u joint, then airbag the rear coils, replace my turnsignal switch and trim my exhaust. The list is getting shorter but the floor is getting messier!

Installed a pair of Slee sliders on my '17 Tacoma this Friday and now thought to post. Other than the four holes needing drilling in the frame and a couple brake lines needing to move, one bolt had to be shortened, and a couple spacers added underneath the stock spacers.

I was initially focused on function, like can they take a hit or hi-lift? It seems they can. Kicked them a few times and also threw the hi-lift underneath with good results. I didn't think about esthetics, but they do look good too. I think they'll do well on the Swell run!

Last touch... I signed the install date & mileage on the driver side slider. Idk, it makes them part of my truck now and will be a nice reminder someday.

Did some Toyoga to replace my alt. Procrastinated a bit on install. The trail fix lasted more than 1000 miles so I was kind of just curious at that point.

Reman. Denso 100a was actually cheaper than the 80a for a 1998, same plug all good. Speaking of which mine broke and was super hard to remove. Replaced with OEM plug.

I also removed the skid hardware that I broke.:hill: Just have to order new hardware for OEM skid.
