I second that wow!
You're right, that's a tough call! I've always been a steelie/hubcap kind of guy on any kind of old steel so my opinion is a bit biased. But those spokes look sweet! It definitely does make it look more period correct. Because I'm also a cheap ass, if it were me i would keep the grey ones on until new tires are needed and then switch over to the spokes. You can't really go wrong on either one.I swapped rims/tires on the 40, went from the silver ones to a set of white spokes. White spoke is period correct for the 82, but aside from that I'm still debating which I like better... and is white so much better that it's worth buying a set of tires for, as the ones on them now have some pretty old dates. Third option is I could plasti dip the rims white, which would match the front bezel, they're currently a cream color (cygnus white). what do you guys think?
before (grey) with hubcaps

after (creamy white)

only issue with that is I'd then be buying tires for my other little skunkworks project here... which seems to be happy with the grey rims and Toyos for the moment. garage teaser:I like the white wagon wheels!!! Just swap tires?
Dang, Dan, that looks badass! nice.
Looking good Dan!
