I've had the steering wheel squeak in the 80 for a while but it was low on the priority list. Threw some lithium as shown below and all is well. A secondary benefit is that my steering finally feels much lighter also! You can find this area by getting down into the footwell and looking back up at the steering wheel.

Did you build the relay box yourself or get it from somewhere? When are we going to see the Dissent bumper. That should at least give you something for one of the switches!

I got it from Amazon for $20: https://amzn.to/37p20IH

Hopefully will install the bumper this weekend if the weather is nice. I just got it painted up. Yep, one of the dual position switches will be fog lights or fogs + light bar.

That fuse box is awesome. Especially for $20 shipped. Thanks for the help with that.

I really like the new modular insert design of the Dissent bumper. I with my bumper had that. I look forward to seeing it all mounted up.

That sounds great but you need to do another video of it under load! How much of a PITA were the headers to install?

Thanks dudes I got the lights set up today. I got some cool 3x3 lights that can do both white and yellow. No plans for a winch yet.

Looking good!

Apparently, the DS header is quite hard to install. Someone recently posted on Mud that the shop charged them 12 hours.

As for what I did to my 100 this week, I sent off the ECU of my 100 series to have the chip for the keys flashed. I am looking forward to having a master key again. Look up Mauser on Ih8mud if you need help with doing this.

-First Oil change I've ever done was completed (thanks for the advice and tips) also liquid is water I have very nervous roomates:rolleyes:
IMG_20200114_152009.jpg
-My A/C Vent was spinning but not closing or opening the vent, which simply needed to be popped back into place
IMG_20200108_171141.jpg
- Finally got rid of the old fake wood trim, inside looks so much better this way

also fixed my rear window sprayer which got clocked in the wrong direction and was spraying wiper fluid directly onto the ground:LOL:

People's Soviet Socialist Republic of California,
I built a headlight harness for my 4runner. I'll put it on the truck tomorrow when it's light. I followed Roger Brown's instructions: https://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTricks/Headlights.shtml#HDresistor

Hopefully this'll solve much of my dim headlight issue. Still to do is relocate or in some other way change how my hi-lift jack is mounted on my front bumper so it doesn't partially block the headlight beam pattern. I am running Hella light housings with H4 bulbs.

Bolted on a big ol' hunk of steel.

Replaced a fairly decent hunk of 1/2" A36 steel but have always wanted a proper, rated front recovery and Santa was real generous to this coal-deserving dude.

OOOHHH, AAAHHHHH!!!

It's too bad ARB is forced to be so concerned with safety with crumple zones and all. Then you wouldn't need that extra steel. But it does look nice though!

Definitely post up on how this turns out! I was just thinking about this last night when I was going through the canyon last night. If it improves, I'll be doing the same thing on my 89.

Do you mean because they don't put recovery points on the bumpers? I have thought about that several times over the years but suffice to say officially ARB has never put recovery points on their bull bars even prior to crumple zones and airbags.

Heard the same thing on the header install. Most guys on Mud have been reporting 8-10hrs. Have to undo the motor mounts and lift the engine an inch or two. I got a really good deal and my shop did a flat rate of $600 including changing out all the studs with new ones.

Check out Exhaust Pros Northglenn for and header installs. They said they do a lot of 100 series.

Damn $600 for a header install is dirt cheap for sure. Headers are usually something I'd do myself but that's tempting. I've used Exhaust Pros several times for my other cars and was always happy. If you pay in cash you can usually get a further discount.

That's a situation where just having one stud snap and it not being your problem to fix is worth every penny, isn't it? OTOH if it was me doing it I'd spray them down for weeks with Aerokroil, have the Helicoil kit at the ready and take 3 days because I'm OCD.
