Prior to me, the bulb holder had failed, which had allowed the bulb to rest against the harness. Naturally, light output was ZERO, but could have been worse... phew....

I was playing in the snow in my HZJ75 with @arthog when he turned the motor off and then when he tried to start it, it just went click click. I was able to bump start it using the 8274! Larry Miller Toyota didn't know what would be the correct contacts so they just handed me a handful of assorted contacts. I found two that worked and presto I had a working starter again.

I was a bit anxious to get the emissions test done on the 80 today after the new catalytic converter, and I was actually shocked to see just how effective it was at lowering all of the results instead of just the NOx. This table shows the readings dropping 85-91% from last week compared with today! It should be able to pass easily for quite some time now, so it was definitely worth the effort.

'not my rig' drives pretty well. @Old40Dog came by and gave it the seal of approval. Buttoning some smaller stuff up but excited to give it back to it's owner ( my neighbor)

Oil pressure for days and I'm worried about how cool it runs (160s). Maybe a new fan clutch is in order.

Well, on the way home from the 40s Only Run, my tcase kept getting louder and louder. About 3 blocks from home, the speedometer stopped working and when I parked it, the tcase was making bad noises. I didn't have a chance to look at it until today. We'll, there's my problem, the drain plug was MIA. I swapped the fill plug in so I could at least fill it up to pull it around front to park it. I did not expect it to drive down the street with no issues, and smooth and quiet. These things are built dang tough! I am ordering these tonight!

Driving from Kane Creek back to Moab I lost a drain plug somewhere along the way. Replaced it and filled it up, seems fine, though my Speedo has never really worked either.

Helping a buddy find a replacement mirror for his 40. You ever seen a mirror like this? That requires 4 holes drilled off center on the upper hinge?

Went through emissions. They didn't like my gas cap.
Actual emissions numbers were low.

HC GPM: 0.1852 Limits: 1.000
CO GPM: 2.45 Limits: 15.0
CO2 GPM: 781.93 Limits: N/A
NOx GPM: 0.69 Limits: 2.50

At 310k, that ain't half bad.

Part #: 77310-35080 on order. Anyone have a gas cap I can borrow for a retest in case shipping takes too long?
