Gave the 80 a bit of a make over after many years of white and everything else black look. Went with a darker graphite paint on the rear swingouts, rock rails and front bumper and a lighter silver to the wheels. I can't believe how much different it looks and how the contrasting wheel color makes the 33s look smaller...I guess its time to start considering 35s.

A big shout out to @HoneyBadger today! It took a while (something wrong on Toyotas side) as I couldn't place an order through Toyota Decator but the parts Manager Eric came through in a big way, securing the sale price even though it ended and getting me a link to buy the parts. This morning I went over to Envision Fabrication and Travis helped me install the new Rack and Pinion/Tie Rods. The 4runner will get an alignment Monday then I'll be ready to hit the dirt!

Eric has been great at Decatur. CV boot kits for the Tacoma finally shipped from them. Likely reason is the CDK ransomeware attack from a few weeks ago.

Just because, switched the 180 thermostat to a 160* yesterday, meaning it runs 180-185 max over local pass (thus far) vs.190-210* that is not in my comfort zone. LS7 engines comments/boards are all over the place reg. temps. (but this was easily done).

Still have knock sensor problems and no one can/try to get it right, spending some big bucks among things to get it done (meaning fecking limp mode still present).

YES MAF.

btw Andy if you're using Tom Woods Driveshaft, they're local to me in Utah. About 10miles from my house.

If you need help, feel free to let me know.

Yesterday picked up the rebuilt, transmission and rebuilt fuel injectors.

Saturday I unpacked and admired the transmission to transfer case adapter, removed and cleaned the AC evaporator (will re-use it and the Denso expansion valve), and did some more general disassembly and cleaning. Also scraped old gunk from the parts washer in preparation to use.

Replaced my LX470 torsion bars with Land Cruiser bars. Idea is they don't unwrap as much because they aren't under as much tension, especially with offroad bumper and winch. Less bouncy when offroading, less nose lift when accelerating. @krice118 gave me the idea so I'm going to give it a try.

Then dialed in the ride height and AHC system pressures.

Also added Starlink mini to my Lexus. Now I have CB, HAM, FRS/GMRS, cell phone booster, and Starlink. What's next? Made a simple mount after seeing one online for $200.

Spent about 3 hours today detailing the FJ Cruiser for it's glamor shots. Thinking about selling it as I am out of room with the new 250. I never thought I would hear my wife tell me not to get rid of something but she is attached to this truck. And yes that is a tilt and slide sun roof with heated leather seats. The original dealer had it sent to an auto trim place in Denver before they sold it to the original owner. I purchased it as the second owner around 42K currently at 165K.

I had no idea they ever made them with a sunroof. I loved my 08 for my bachelor days but I always felt like I was driving a submarine. I bet that makes it way better.

Removed the RTT a few weeks back and saw 300 miles on a tank for the first time I can remember! 22.14 gallons at the fillup.

Beat you by a Country Mile, only used about an 1/8 th of a Tank. The past 1600+ miles.

(Just precautionary filled it up little in between anyways)

Definatly brightens it up inside. And you are correct Toyota never offered them this way. A shop in Denver install it when the truck was new but it looks like OEM.
