Drove my Lx450 900 miles and had her going strong all the way.

Project get rid of junk carpet and make the truck quieter is coming along swimmingly. Found an ink roller a hobby lobby that works halfway decent too.

More progress. Just need to do wheel wells and fill in small gaps with the trimmings I've got. This stuff ended up going a lot further than I thought it would. Think I've still got 8 sheets left out of the 50ft2 I got off siless 3in1. Hope the vinyl goes this smoothly but many report that's it's a massive pain to work with

The vinyl is actually also easier to work with than I suspected. The key is to get the hook blades for vinyl to put on my utility. Makes working with this stuff vastly easier.

Well took me about ten hours but it's done. I'll post pictures when it's light out. Messed up and cut too much in two spots but they are kind out of the way. So happy with the finished product and just doing the floor killed A LOT of road noise. The sound deadening definitely exceeded my expectations, definitely have to do the rest to go full Bentley quiet when find allow. Vinyl looks pretty damn good too, still needs to settle with heat in a few spots but overall the mold that is comes with worked very well.

Finished product is great. Still needs to settle some but I'm really liking it. So much better than the stained and beat up 25 year old carpet

Replaced one faulty (cracked) ignition coil on the 03 LC. The ignition coils are original to the LC with 239K miles.

Got the compressor installed. Going to wait to put in my ignition switch before taking off the dash and installing the switch. What do you all do with your extra wire? I guess cut it and buy new connectors?

If you have more material, consider sticking some to the insides of the doors.. pull the door card and cut the plastic, then work it in there... it'll make even more of a difference.

I just ordered 2 Warn EVO 10-S winches. Northridge has them for $599 each, and Warn has a $100 rebate on each up to 2. In the end, two Warn EVO 10-S for $1k is a steal of a deal.

Turns out that with their points I got another $25 in credit with Northridge 4x4

I have about 5 sheets and a bunch of scraps left. I want to recover a bit longer though lol. My back was destroyed yesterday after crouching around the truck for over ten hours.

On another note I finally got my first CEL. P0311, one of my o2 sensors went bad so I'll have to address that at some point. Probably explains why there almost seemed to be a near imperceptible drop in power since I bought the truck. I know not sensors are pretty rusty so it might be fun. One of the nuts is a rusty blob so I'm going to stay soaking then and will have to get it with vice grips.

My O2 sensor experience is to always have new nuts and studs ready.

53k miles? Screw driving it, I would be taking full advantage of the fools who bid on BaT.
Was wondering if someone was going to react to the mileage. It’s honestly like new and I’m planning to enjoy for a little longer.

And a right angle drill, tap and Helicoil. It's really the only way to appease the iron oxide gods. If you have all that stuff then you probably won't need them. I use copper anti-seize. Yeah, I know the heat renders that stuff useless but I still gotta make the effort.

Toyota was nice enough to not design the new Tundra with tow hooks so I bought a set of aFe power design tow hooks. I got the black powder coat set.

Install is pretty straightforward with the exception that the new Tundra has an active air dam up front so you have to lower it to install the hooks. Once you lower the air damn you have very little room between the bottom of the dam and the ground to work.

I could have made this install easier by using ramps but I was able to just slide under to remove the sway brackets. Plus my buddy borrowed them a few weeks ago so it didn't matter.

These hooks/brackets essentially replace the factory sway bar brackets. Total time to install is about 20 to 30 minutes.

Here's the install video if anyone is interested.
