Yanked the locking junkyard axle out of the trailer and put in the garage before the storm. Trying to get a Trail Gear aftermarket harness to work with this '99 LC e-locking axle, to go in my '99 LX 470.

This unit made it into my top 10 list of best mods I've done to my 87. Very handy...just done add to much heavy stuff in there!

Well, I finally got around to getting the locker process going on the truck. Started out with the Slee battery tray/compressor mount kit. Man, what a pleasure to install. So well done! Decided to cut out the blade fuses that come with the compressor in favor of some buss fuses. Amory has a way with convincing me to do things the clean way.

Was almost through with Hells revenge when the battery light came in the 80? WTF? Never seen that before. Took some serious bashing on the last obstacles before the exit, but still seemed to run. As I was airing up, opened the hood to attach the Viair compressor and noticed the battery bracket was gone and the positive cable was no longer connected to the battery terminal! Truck was still running from the alternator.

As soon as I got home, ordered the Redline kit and installed it today. Seems much more solid and hopefully takes care of the issue going forward.

I finally installed the MXT400 in my Sequoia. It was a challenge as I had to remove most of the dash to get to that spot which holds a set of cupholders. The back of the MXT400 did hit a support bar because of the length of the unit so I had to make a little notch in it.

By chance did you get that split windshield frame from me years back? If so, was your mud name different back then?
It was installed by a gentleman in AZ and then the project was sold to JP (clemsoncruiser) on mud a number of years ago…I got the rig from him!

Very likely you were the original source!

I did! Got it in January. It’s got all the fun things to be honest…13bt, cable lockers, h55, split window, pto winch, etc!

Yeah I considered it very hard when it was listed, then it disappeared! Glad to hear you bought it. That truck is amazing! Consider me interested if you decide to sell one day.

Dude, you’ve got a Volvo 1800!? I had a 67, great car!
At the time of the pic it was actually 2 1968 MGB GT's. Im down to only one now. A Volvo 1800 would be a sweet addition to my collection haha

Swapped over the 100-series axle wiring connectors to the Trail Gear locker harness and have success. Locker engages and disengages as it should.

Now, to install the '99 LC locking rear axle into the locker-less '99 LX 470....

Changed my fuel filter today. Followed Timmy's video, definitely recommend the unplugged the pump and purging the line method, made it to where very little gas came out, at least once I remember to open my gas cap. Totally forgot about that at first and was just watching this stream of gas that wasn't slowing for a solid 2 minutes before I realized that fuel tanks hold pressure >< As far as the result I'm always so worried about placebo effect with things related to the drivetrain but I genuinely think my engine is running smoother. I didn't have the OEM filter on there (I think it was a Duralast and I put a Wix on) but who knows how many miles it did have. Seemed like a no brainer to baseline that part of my truck just to know when it was done.

With the way things are going she might see a LMG in the bed yet....Not going to lie I've given at least some thought to how that would work in my 4runner, best I can figure out is it would be tricky and probably involve a lot of hacking at the body...
