Did you take any special steps to line up the hinges for the lid? I'm looking at using the same this winter/spring for my build. But I'm wondering how to line them up good enough to be able to slide the lid off the hinge pins and back on?

As long as your two mounting locations are straight there's no tricks. Once I unbolt the center hindge (reversed to keep it from coming off) just give er a good shuve and she slides right off the pins and revers for install. I do have to shimmy the center up a tad because I gave tolerance for bed liner and it's no sprays on Yet. Other wise perfect. I would imagine if you smaller ones they could pose a little more difficulty installing

I would go grab one but it would look silly behind my 80. :) Wonder what he did to the interior? All kinds of stuff you could do...heater, radio, bed, etc,. Heck make a big camper out of a Pig!

then how about get me a 80 rolling chassis !! i could do that to any suv or truck you give me.. just need some steel, and good coupler. then strip the front end off. and bam done.. i would actually make a functual hood but chop the front end to look like a toung tool box (v shaped ) either w/ or w/o headlights. then weld the hood back togther. and chop the fenders also to box it all in.. :thumb:
