6.0 would be awesome. You could go 4l60e to a fj62 splitcase. Then you can still have push button 4x4

Is the timing chain intact?

I have enough issue with Colorado emissions, I am not about to swap in something other than what came in it. I went through that years ago with a 350 in an S10 Blazer and it was a nightmare. The timing chain is in tact, just no compression. The good news is I bought a new motor and transmission. The bad news is that I called today to make arrangements to pick it up and he sold it! I want to go back to the days when a handshake meant something.

1997 40th anniversary with 170,000 and came with the transmission (mine is/was shifting really hard so I kind of wanted to swap it too).
