Interestingly enough, the steering wheel column controls from a Toyota Crown (176213) work on the Land Cruiser (176336). Slightly shorter handles, same pinout, looks good.

Exact part number: 84310-60100

I started to look for the sticker replacement while I wait for my new glovebox door. The Cruiser Corps version (bottom) is a terrible repro; I found an alternative on Etsy (top) that's much closer to the original, and it's actually vinyl versus that cheaper material Cruiser Corps is using.

It's like that new girl you meet, and you find every excuse to take pictures of her. Anyway, took her for a fun overlanding down Phantom Canyon. People do drive a bit too crazy on that road, though. I got back down on the pavement, went to engage in H2, and it wouldn't sit; my heart sank right through the floor. I drove it for a few feet, then tried again, and it seated correctly, go figure. I got back into COS, and it was pouring like no tomorrow. My wiper blade slid right off. I'll upgrade the arms to the 4Runner so that I can run better blades and figure out the intermittent installation, even though I got the relay working back on again.

A new level of obsessions, finding those rare things. All the way from Italy.

Finished the replacement door. I didn’t fully get it right but it’s consistent with the rest, looks clean. Need to align it tho.

The 4Runner windshield wiper arm upgrade is a must. It doesn't look OE, but it gives me the peace of mind that my blades won't just randomly fly off. I also managed to get my hands on the inclinometer all the way from Australia to complete the console setup.

I’m like a little kid with my stickers. Found a Nissan equivalent that looks the same with a slight nuance since my motor needs premium.

It's common for the transfercase to be difficult to switch between gears after driving. It helps to have it on level ground, straight and reverse a few feet, then it will shift easily.

I need to do the 4runner upgrade at some point too. It's arm and blades, correct?

I did the 4Runner arms on mine and put old school looking NAPA blade assemblies on the arms. Looks just a bit more stock 60 and they work great.

The 'wiper arm upgrade' uses 2 left 3rd gen wiper arms. It's a nice upgrade and gives you nice strong wiper arm springs (because they are new), and wipers that actually clean the windshield. Having said that, I don't drive my garage queen '62 in the rain any more than necessary!

Just the two left hand arms, go wild finding any kind of blades you like!

The little glovebox rubber cushions are still available.

The steering wheel felt gritty, as if there was sand in it. Then I realized that when I removed it, I had wiped off all that old grease, which turned out to be the same issue as everyone else: a dry horn contact, some Dielectric grease, and back to business.

I'd rather be off-road, work, work, work. Maybe I'll end up on RimRocker next month. Yes, it's possible to mount a Roam Adventure Co box on an ARB, although it's not an easy bolt on. An incompatibility issue arises when using the Roam Adventure Co. (excellent customer service, btw) rugged mounts. Their sandwich plate isn't long enough, so I ended up using the ARB alloy blocks and Wide Horizontal mounts to integrate. Separately, found a gentleman on Mud who makes metal glovebox inserts. Adds a little more weight to the rig, but it'll last 40 more years. Inshallah.

It's fun to share your passion with others, including the U.K. cousins—lots of 80 series, right-hand drives, and a surf.
