Hard Core 4+
Moved to the Land of Corn 9 years ago, can't believe its been that long... The 1st day here I spotted this tailgate far back in my neighbors garage and we struck up a conversation about old cars and trucks, which made me feel better inside (kinda), as I had left Colorado, my friends and the mountains. It was good to get some Toyota karma my 1st day.
This old pickup hasn't moved from his garage in over 10 years now. I've let him know a few times that if he ever wanted to sell it to let me know. He has a bunch of cool older cars, 20's buicks, vw van, Cadillac Eldorado, and a couple of Toyota pickups, including this one. He finally decided to clear up some garage space and we struck a deal. He's owned it for 25 years and this is the first time it's seen daylight in 10, although he kept it registered and insured every year. 👍
It's full of spiderwebs and mouse nests, and the brakes, clutch and radiator look dry. Tires were flat. I won't try starting it yet. It was resprayed 25+ years ago with a some questionable body repairs, but overall it's pretty complete and unmolested. Interior is very original. Really looking forward to getting this cool little Stout back on the road!
I guess this is the beginning of a "build" or "rebuild" thread? 🙂 wish me luck!
