After a morning of training, spent the afternoon enlarging Leroy's outdoor space with some taller chainlink fencing. Leroy is getting bigger by the day and will need to be better contained soon. The space was originally quickly put together using some short fencing we had "hiding" our septic tanks. Then removed the short fencing between the two areas. More than doubling the puppy play pen by adding a little over 1600 square feet to the shop's fenced side yard. Will add the same chainlink panels to the front part as well but not sure how far I will get tonight with the storms rolling through. There are 2 gates so far located in opposite cormers (another will be added in the front). We went with panels since it is in our leach fields and cannot place real posts into the ground. Plus, once the dogs learn to get along, the panels can be repurposed or sold.

But Leroy is happy for the extra space for zoomies.

It's hard for me to put into words just how happy this scene has made me.

Both our dogs, walking on leash feet apart, without any issues. One small step towards integration, one giant leap toward peace and calm back into our lives. So awesome to see my wife handle Pepper with ease while Leroy faithfully followed our trainer

I don't want to get ahead of myself, but maybe, just maybe, all this hard work and sacrifice will actually be worth it in the end.

Ms Pepper has been working her tail off learning how to be a proper lady. All her hard work is starting to show!

She is becoming much better behaved both on and off leash. And is learning how to not become overstimulated so quickly and what do if/when it happens. She even spent this past week walking nicely beside the puppy, Leroy. She cared more about everything and anything else besides him. Which in itself is a HUGE improvement!

But all this hard work sure takes a lot out of her. She passed out cold on the couch after our latest training session this morning. But didn't leave enough room for her head and was too tired to care. So she just fell asleep with her head hanging off of the couch. Silly girl.

Dingus Mcgee a.k.a Willow went to the dog park and zoomed out, then Starbucks, if that wasn’t enough then her friend Wrigley came over
big day!

now she’s popped out laying on the floor under the raw red meat dreaming about dinner

oh Dingus Mcgee what a hard life you live..

Had to run to Petsmart in order to purchase more training treats and took Leroy to get him some more exposure. Decided to check out the toy isle to see if they had some small game trainers and Leroy found something else he fell in love with. A large stuffed lamb toy. So much so he jumped into the bin with them and didn't want to leave.
Needless to say, we ended up bringing one home for him. And he thinks it's the best thing ever. It's the same size as he is. It is quite hilarious watching him roll with it like they are practicing jujitsu.

Leroy is still infatuated with his new stuffed lamb toy. Not only does he play and chew on it, he sleeps on it and uses it as a pillow. It hasn't left his side while indoors since we brought it home. Here are a couple photos from this afternoon's nap session out in the shop while I worked:

It’s obvious he loves his Dad. Sweet face.
He can be a sweet boy. And he LOVES everyone. Once introduced, he just wants pets and attention from anyone and everyone. And will just climb into your lap to get them. Besides his puppyness, he has an awesome temperament.
