He can be a sweet boy. And he LOVES everyone. Once introduced, he just wants pets and attention from anyone and everyone. And will just climb into your lap to get them. Besides his puppyness, he has an awesome temperament.
My favorite uncle, Uncle Newt, raised Coon Hounds back in the Ozarks way back when. We used to go coon hunting when I was a little guy in the '50s. His all time favorite was Big Red who was legendary in his community. Never missed! I'll never forget his baying. Once they get going it can be hilarious and the raccoons better look out if Big Red was on their scent. The good ol' days.

All the hard work and money is actually paying off!!!

Worked with Pepper off leash today. Those are words I never thought I'd say. Was able to call her off of rabbits and other wildlife. And her recall was impressive.

Yesterday, both the vet tech and vet, at different times mind you, complimented Pepper on how well behaved she was. That alone made my mind explode.

She can still be reactive and become fixated on certain things. But we can now break that fixation and work through her emotions till she is able to calm herself. And she is not the issue when it comes to the puppy and her. The puppy just needs to learn some more manners.

Integration is actually working! Slowly but surely Pepper has learned that adding another family member won't be the end of the world. And is actually very curious about Leroy. But not sure they will ever really become best friends. They will be able to co-exist easily though, so that makes me happy.

Both dogs napping in the ac after a HOT morning of training:

My money is on the pair of them becoming fast and inseparable friends. 👍

Leroy went on an adventure with me today and we brought home another tractor. It's an old POS but it has more than twice the lifting capacity as my skidsteer, so it should be handy to have around. Besides, Leroy talked me into it. Must of worn himself out doing so because he kept falling asleep on the way home.

Here is my wife and Leroy next to the tractor for scale.

Squirrel log and a few squirrels, a hand towel, Kai’s sock, Kai’s shirt and a small green flashlight that WAS @Notyourmomslx450 nightstand.

Oh lorde, let the mayhem commence!!!

My heart is so full it may burst. Integration is going much better than I thought! The dogs just proved for the past 3 hours that they can coexist, play, be calm, and be calmed while supervised. Our house is gonna be LOUD as both dogs are very vocal. So awesome to see both enjoying themselves as they run at full speed chasing each other. We might need more property than the 5 acres we currently own...

Pepper is currently waiting for Leroy's nap time to be over so they can have at it again.

Getting some snuggles the other night. Indy doesn’t really snuggle anyone else other than me much so this was a big deal to Kai ❤️
