Oh lorde, let the mayhem commence!!!

My heart is so full it may burst. Integration is going much better than I thought! The dogs just proved for the past 3 hours that they can coexist, play, be calm, and be calmed while supervised. Our house is gonna be LOUD as both dogs are very vocal. So awesome to see both enjoying themselves as they run at full speed chasing each other. We might need more property than the 5 acres we currently own...

Pepper is currently waiting for Leroy's nap time to be over so they can have at it again.

I’m happy for you and the dogs but not surprised at all. Love conquers all!

Leroy is a little extra feisty as he celebrates his and his big sister's graduation from accelerated homeschool training.

We passed our last tests with flying colors. A long walk around the very busy Sloan's Lake a couple times @8am this morning. Both my wife and I were able to guide and control each dog through out the meyhem, without an issues or outbursts from the pups or us. 8 long weeks of hard work was put in by everyone, including the humans. But now we can live in harmony with one another. And have learned how to have manners while both on and off leash. I know we gotta whole lifetime of training yet to go. But we all now have a better grip on how we will continue that. Can not thank our trainer, Jitana, from The Denver Dog Academy, for doing what 2 other trainers couldn't. Taught us how to give our beloved Pepper what she needed in order to be a well behaved and well adjusted pup who knows how to control her emotions. If anyone needs any assistance training with a pup of their own, please do not hesitate to call her.

It sure did get hot quickly today. Pepper at 6am before our daily "fun" walk. During these I use a 50ft lead (off leash is illegal most places) and give her as much freedom as possible as long as she doesn't pull on the leash. We have 7 different adventure areas within 15 minutes of our place so we don't go to the same place 2 days in a row. you can see the excitement in her eyes.

And here she is about 7am after a short water break. It was already over 70° and being a heavy coated black dog, she likes her water breaks. Notice the length of tongue difference between the 2. But as long as she has some shade and water breaks, she could hike all day in the heat.

Amazing the difference in handling her now from 2 months ago. Night and day difference. I look forward to our morning adventures now, which is saying a LOT as I am not a morning person at all.

Wife just sent me this photo and told me that Leroy fell asleep like this 20 minutes ago and hasn't moved since. Guess all the playtime with Pepper is catching up with him.

I am realizing just how big he has gotten in the past 3 months. He is only 6 months old and is as tall as Pepper (50-55 pound black lab), but doesn't quite have her thickness yet. And his legs and paws are still HUGE for the rest of his body, so you know there is a lot more growing to come...
