I love how she has a perch just for her to hunt on. 🄰
That stand was built by my father when I was a small child. It was to hold our new color tv at the time, with the VCR under. Then it migrated to my place during college as a stand for my large dog's food and water dishes. And I used it like that for years (and 5 different dogs) till we moved into our current place 6 or 7 years ago. Now we have a different setup for the food and water so when my previous hound started having trouble jumping up on things, I added the carpet and had him use it as a step for the final years of his life. When we got Pepper, we had trouble keeping her from jumping up on the windows in order to look out at the wildlife. Once I gave her a perch, she stopped jumping on the windows and just sits nicely. And every time I pass by and see it, all it's history comes flooding back and warms my heart.

I thought maybe anxiously awaiting your arrival.
i once sent hankdog to my friend dana's house to watch while i was at work. he texted me a pic of hankdog in the window...said he sat there looking outside for me the entire day.
That is sweet and adorable. Ms Pepper is excited to see me, but rabbits and other small furry creatures always take precedent.

Speaking of Ms Pepper, if/when she graduates from all this training, can we start calling her Dr Pepper instead?

Leroy seems to be the typical hound. Stubborn, defiant, and fearless (yes, Loving and sweet too) to a fault. Watched him fail multiple times only to finally succeed at being able to climb up onto the old, unstable portable fire pit.

Poncho is our partially paralyzed, previous renter, porch dropped off, Chihuahua. It's a long story but I'll share if anyone's interested in his saga.
He's the only one spending time with me in my home office today since it's so dang nice outside.
