How are the two pups getting along these days?Leroy sure does enjoy lounging in the sun, just taking it all in.

Unfortunately, they aren't. Still working with Pepper on her reactivity, but that hasn't improved much yet either. Some, but very little. The trainer we hired is confident and so is my cousin (the trainer in AZ we consulted with at first). They both state it's just going to take more time, patience, and training.
The trainer believes that within the next 3 months, both dogs will at least get along enough to live together, and both should have basic to advanced levels of manners both on and off leash. This of course will depend on the dog and our level of commitment to training. Their daily "homeschooling" for a 7 week course officially starts May 20th. But we have been working with both using some preliminary homework put together by the trainer for a couple weeks now.

It sounds like you are doing all the necessary steps that you can be doing. I wish for them to become the best of friends in the end, but hoping for an amicable family life for you all soon!!

It's a dog flop house around here right now.
I over extended myself with the Expo & am dealing with a lovely virus of some kind that is zapping my energy, making me achy as all get out, with a sore throat. So we are taking a much needed rest day on the couch today.

New garage tool. Let him run under the truck and then smell his back to determine what fluids I need. Smells like gear oil.

i once sent hankdog to my friend dana's house to watch while i was at work. he texted me a pic of hankdog in the window...said he sat there looking outside for me the entire day.
