Details? Brand? Etc.

Testing out some direct from China soon and would love name brand ones to compare. Have access to an airstrip to test stuff.

Installed my crusty and trusty Warn M8000 today on the DD. Took me a min to finally do it. Also installed a CB to be “compliant” w/ Cruise Moab. It’ll also make communicating w/ the wife easier when we are out wheeling and I’m in the 80 and she’s in this. I’m installing new upper and lower control arms tomorrow. Fingers crossed my new skids are ready before Cruise Moab.

Finally installed a working head unit. I really wanted a cassette deck and I got this at the junkyard for nothin’. I’m going to hack a Bluetooth receiver into the CD input.

Got new front speakers installed yesterday. I also did a test fit on the ABS panels my friend and I are making for my 60. I’ve got some 6x9 speakers going in each side, and I’ll eventually put sound deadening on the inside.

(Mostly) installed my second round of airbags in the rear coils. I may have forgot some bits and pieces at home, like most of the line and the connectors! Not to worry though, i did have enough line to plumb the bags in the coils up to the T. All i need to do now is toss the T in and run the lines to the valve. Thanks goes out to @DanielChase, @OHUZJ100 for the space and some tools, and @DomOfTheDead and @Stuckinthe80s for lending a hand!

Got new rear uppers in, guinea pigging some arms by Fel Pro that the price was very right on. My stock uppers were in ok shape but I think this will tighten up some minor float I've been feeling. Great looking product. Fitup was excellent, just "to be seen" on the bushing quality over time.

Also 2 new coil packs to replace my last original ones. These factory coils were doing fine, so if anyone needs a trail spare just let me know 👍

Also new fuel filter. I'm glad I swapped it, the thing was not clean and Toyota saying they are lifetime is IMO, erroneous. It was still working as the gas that drained out the front was clean, but the stuff running out the input side wasn't great.

With some temporary warm weather, drug the RhinoRide out of storage, got it started, drove and tested the lockers, lubed the winch, re-spooled the winch line, tinkered with the emissions.....needs a wash and wax, new tires and get it out this summer!

I'm curious about your ABS cargo panels. I need to do something for my cargo panels and this could be a slick solution.

Finally got around to installing the extended rear sway bar links and longer rear brake lines. Expecting massive flex from the Rezfab rear links and track bar LOL.

@Telly What’s the year of your 60/62? I have a template and I know where to source the ABS. PM me if you want!

1987 FJ60 but I added factory 3-point rear belts from a 62 which has a different plastic panel to cover the retractable belt mechanism. I don't have the plastic trim and my rear panels are just laying over the mechanism. Seriously janky at this point. PM is on its way! Thanks!
