Installed the 'photoman' bracket/harness and 150 amp alternator on the 80. Looking forward to building the electrical system over the summer.

Made an improved sleeping platform/drawer frame over the weekend. The welds are ugly but they're strong (hopefully). I tied it together and bolted it in using the 3rd row seat anchor holes. The next steps are to: 1.Add the slides to the fridge area, 2. Make the wood tops 3. Close in the sides of the fridge area with some type of expanded metal 4.Build a drawer that will use roller skate bearings sliding on a 1X1 piece of angle iron.

Replaced the air springs in the rear of the Sequoia. Dry rot in the old ones caused a slow leak.

Cleaned the MAF sensor on my 2000 3rd Gen with 274k miles. It was failing emissions with NOx at 3.8 while the limit is 2.0. That didn't help much, so I ended up getting a new cat at AA Performance. Then it passed with the NOx dropping to 1.6.

Hopefully the aftermarket cat will last a while - the one on my 80 lasted for 70k or so. I just couldn't stomach the $1200 discount price for OEM, even if it does last for 274k miles. :hill:

I can't say enough good things about those guys at AA Performance! I just wonder how much longer he will be doing it? He seems to be in good health but he definitely looks close to retirement.

And I don't blame you for going the aftermarket route on the cat.

Finally received my RCI Sliders and Skid Plates! Had time to get the sliders on. Hopefully can get the skid plates done sometime this week.

Slow but steady!

I love how this thread really picks up near the beginning of wheeling season! :p:

I think Scott's son works there, so hopefully the business will continue for a good long while.

I like the plow rig in the back

That’s barnacle Bill you wouldn’t like him if you saw him up close. 86k original miles. One strong wind gust from blowing away in a plum of rust dust and salt
