That would be awesome if you're not in metro Denver. I can't tell you the headaches I've gone through with the vortec swap on my 62, Colorado Air Care does not want to keep our old rigs on the road, even if they are cleaner. I couldn't give my fj55 away back in 2001--no rust, ran well, and a working rear window too! I think I sold it for like $1,100 after 6 months in the thrifty nickel. Man, I'm getting old. Maybe it was the sacrilegious paint job...
I'm pretty sure this is old enough to not need smog testing. My 1970 FJ40 had a 350 swap when I bought it from out of state 4 years ago and I had classic plates. I also live in Broomfield where we have the same rules as Denver and Boulder for smog testing.
