I know it's a Jeep. I know it's a Jeep.

But, yeah.

I know it's Jeep.

Toyota is napping on the job.

what a minute, my 40 doesn't have a chain on the gas cap or the oil cap. And I can shift into 4WD without stopping? I've never done that.. maybe we got robbed in '82 by this loss of features.

don't get the "you can't lock yourself out" comment either. Is that because I can get my kid to reach in through the vent & pop the door?

:lmao:

Ours don't have 10 windows either, we only have 9...

I love this future we're living in right now. Well, at least the new electric truck an the new Jeep Gladiator part of the future. Now Toyota has to come through.

I love it. It's about ****in time! If we/they can figure out how to turn day trips into week long trips into the desert then I'm on board.

In case you're just joining us, we've gone from the awareness of new EV 4WD's, and a reflection towards overall sustainability & ecological impact, relative to original FJ40 marketing materials. Followed by the acknowledgement that the new Jeeps actually look pretty cool, and how Toyota is still just not in that market. :lmao:

If they'da just listened to us and made that FJ cruiser with a SFA, 4 doors, and a removable hard top, we'd be living in a different world today... looking forward to the 2020 all electric version.

They didn't need to do a SFA FJC. I'd have normally said "Just sell us the <whatever>." But it's not even that. The Tacoma, 4Runner, they're fine. If Toyota feels it's profitable to keep distinct models for the U.S. that's their funeral. It's that they seem to be missing the reason people are loyal to Toyota. Reliable, simple, repairable vehicles. Seriously, people are considering what Ford is doing with the Ranger, Jeep with their Wrangler pickup. Why is the sky purple?

Notes:
<whatever> being your favorite global vehicle, Hilux, Prado, Land Cruiser GX-spec

Get this back on track as Tim pointed out we are off topic.

This might be the best looking interior I’ve ever seen. Love the fact is has a drivers display and a common middle display. Combined with a nice balance of wood/metal/leather. Colors all complement nicely.

It's like you've been transported to 1961 and are riding around a doctor's office waiting room designed by Gropius or Mies van der Rohe.

The interior looks like a modernized 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass to me. Ew.

I dunno how a company that made some cool cars could go so wrong in the 1980s and 1990s. A guy in high school had a mid-60s Cutlass. That was a neat car.

You can see the lineage in the layout, though. This is what a 1965 looked like. No fake wood grain, though.
