Recommended to gas up before hitting I-70 out of Denver or are there places closer to trailhead that you would recommend? I went up to balancing rock trail a couple weeks ago and forgot to get fuel until I got close and the prices were 50 cents or more per gallon than in the city as I recall.

There's a gas station at I70 and Central City Parkway, and also one on 119, depending on how you come up. Can't comment on price since I gave up caring because we have no choice but to pay it, haha. We might go into town today, I'll check the price if we do.

Can't go bad with the Kum & Go at the I-70 Morrison exit. Usually one of the cheapest around.

Any of the ones up in the canyon close to Central City are going to be very expensive. There's one I think ran by the Casinos up there the price made my jaw drop last time I rolled through there.

I'm sticking with group A it looks like. Passenger had an obligation at 2:30. Hard to guarantee that even if I don't go snowbashing up at the top so made other plans with her. Might see if I can rope a roommate into the copilot seat though. Seriously thinking about wearing my insulated ski onsie for this since I forsee spending a lot of time outside the truck pulling various soft goods around lol.
