Had a blast despite having to turn back on the climb after lunch. Realized I’m not totally sure where and when people were meeting for pizza. Heard Beau Jo’s at one point so going to checkin there in case that’s it. Hope to see ya, if not, next time! And thanks to everyone for getting out there today!!

We had to turn around after a number of tries to crest the hill.

Will def be back to do this trail in the warmer months!

I did. I think a few others did, too... I know that we put the winch and snatch lines to good use on a few of the hills, but my lowly 5th gen 4Runner (and studded Nokian Hakkapeliitta tires) didn't fail me all day.

...Except for when I high-centered on the glamour-shot rocks...😎

I think I tried that hill a couple times and then went around on the less steep but more rocky bypass route. Definitely needed help at the top of a couple other hills though since all the really cool kids have locking diffs or studded tires.

I also get the impression that those hills just get icier and harder with more people driving up, so maybe with more fresh snow it wouldn't have been so slick.

Sorry, the more vehicles up a hill, the more slippery it gets. I think there was an ice base before the new snow.

@gearhead1 & I were 1, 2 in line & walked right up.. others had a more challenging time.. everyone eventually made it up.

That is actually a good Calendar picture. Remember that one when I ask for submittals in October for the club calendar. There were a few other good ones in the Trip report thread

Hey y'all. Man I had a blast! What trail are we doing this weekend?! 😆🤘

I edited a video from my dashcam footage, some pics, and some footage from others. It's 30 minutes down from 4 hours. I'm terrible at editing but I'm glad to have the chance to document the run. Also seems like my dashcam got bumped upwards one notch, which I'll fix for next time. Anyway feel free to grab the video at the link below if you like.

Any objections to posting it to my YouTube channel?

Eric, what editing software do you use by chance? Just got back from Moab w/ 120Gb of footage & curious what you use, how you did the fast forward effect, etc. Guessing Adobe AE? Hope you're doing well..
