I’ve been a little out of MTB but this summer made some headway getting back into it. Wanted to have a thread for ride invitations. For me it’ll mostly be Front Range, SW Denver metro stuff. Short loops etc.

I’m in my 40s now so it feels different. Lair ‘O the Bear and Green Mountain are looking better than they used to. Though I am trying to tackle the stuff I used to do like Chimney and Falcon.

Anyway this early Saturday I’m thinking Waterton/Lennys Rest. Try to be back by 9:30. Anyone want to join?

I can't this weekend, but I'd be up to ride some new trails. Plus there is lots of stuff up here in gilpin to ride.

I’ve been taking the middle schoolers out for rides on Tuesday nights this fall. Tonight was our last night. At least it’s been something. I have been able to sneak in a couple “real” rides too, but I went over the bars on Rutabaga in June and landed in a pile of rocks and messed up my knee pretty bad. Still not quite right from that bang up.

There is a ride I do during lunch that is close to my office that you might check out. It's in the Highlands Ranch area. I don't know the official name but you park at the Rocky Heights Middle School and ride along Monarch Blvd for about one mile then hit three loops on Wildcat Mountain. Total distance is 8.4 miles with 670 elevation gain. It takes me about 50 minutes start to finish. It's a fun little ride.
