Ok, I doubled down on WPL and ordered more parts for my truck - better axle shafts/diffs for front and rear, better outer axles in the front, some chassis stabilizers, better servo horn, new wheels, and some new shocks. I'm running highly modified original shocks because I can't find anything off the shelf with as much lift and articulation - I think Injora has a silver bullet though, where I lose 2mm of lift and gain 2mm of travel. Repainting the body as well. This will be Version 3 of this truck. Version 2 served me well, but with this new stuff the steering, drivetrain, and suspension will be tighter. It will also be heavier (sprung and unsprung), so it should perform better over obstacles too - the suspension can work better and COG will be lower. And beadlock wheels ... I've had enough of tires coming off the bead.

@DomOfTheDead do you have any hobby paint? I was going to buy some this week, but as it goes with such things you buy a bunch of colors, use 1/10 of it, and the rest sits around going bad. Figured I'd ask!

@Cruisertrash I dont use model paint, just scotchbrite and rustoleum on both lexan and abs bodies. Goes on a little thick so I go lightly but finish and durability are good. This was my attempt to distress the paint on this abs body before I got tired of sanding and gave up

I need to get some better shots along with doing some suspension tuning(flips waaay too easily)…but here’s my lc80 hardbody on an axial scx10.3 chassis. I’d love to get my hands on a lexan body though so it’d be more user friendly and lighter playing with the kids on trail breaks.

Lately I’ve just been playing around with the 1:24 stuff. Cheaper and easier to find places to crawl it at.

1/10 80-series lexan. I think I have one NIB rolling around the shop I could part with.

Definitely looks sweet! I’m hoping to get each of my kiddos the 1:18th scale for Christmas this year and my wife’s getting the new scx24 basecamp in pink. Haha

Christmas came early! My bro gifted me this rig. Added some sticky tires, brass wheels and promptly blew both driveshafts. 11$ stainless ones fixed that. Its pretty awesome

Been tinkering on this guy I got for Xmas, axial 1/24 with a cool FS power wagon body. Longer travel shocks and aluminum wheels to start out. Stoked to have an crawler that travels well, the 1/10 rigs suck up a lot of space when we load up for trips.

Those power wagons are definitely cool. And you’re right, 1:10 takes up so much space but the 1:24’s tuck away real nice.

Are you going to do a bunch more to it?

Here’s the jlu. Meus axles are really nice ?hash=e1f056c9ade3fc253e33a0c1a59f25f6.jpg
