lol @nakman Sounds pretty desperate for s'more attention.

A few weeks ago I got one that came out fast with the pretty picture. "She" wanted to talk on what-a-sap, I replied I'm too much for the app, it can't keep up, and never heard from "her" again ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Meant to post screenshots here, but got to running on another project and forgot.

there's some scammy stuff going on with What'sapp these days, I'm not sure the totality of it but a couple readit threads mentioned it's a lure to get into your crypto currency somehow. I had some potential renters text me and try to push the conversation over to what's app.. which smelled kinda sus so I googled it. When I said I could preview the property in Zoom or Facetime they gave up and went away. Anyway I'm not about to even reply to one of these text randos, so no way I'm going to continue to conversation over in What's app...

Mine have really hit next level. They are now using my mom's name (spelled incorrectly I should add), telling me that my mom wants me to do things. Crazy the info they dig out of public information. Scary because they are becoming way more targeted.

I tried to say that a few posts ago. With AI the ability to find and connect dots is ramping exponentially. If you decide to use social media you need to really be discerning with how you reply, tag and link. Strip meta data from files and photos, intentionally inject mistakes in names, places, dates. Try to avoid confirming information. You know, like when you're asked to use three personal questions to prevent locking yourself out of an account you should literally make up three things that are not true about you. Telling Wells Fargo your mother's real maiden name is a real ripe prize in the next and inevitable data breach.

And truly sage advice.
