I love taking lightning photos. I didn't prepare as well for this as I should have. Some nights, if I think there will be a good show I'll pre-focus in the daylight, lock it in, and when it gets dark I know I've got it right. It's tough to focus in the dark.

nice shot. i was going to grab a few the other night but by the time i had the camera and tripod, the hail was quarter size.
