If anyone need fuel cans i have like 6. maybe I should fill them all and sell gas along the way

also on another note. last year we burned 2 20lb propane bottles in 3 nights of campfire. This year we have 2 fire pits and 5 nights. Dan and Chris will have one. I will try to bring one but you guys in wagons have way more room. we probably need 6 if we burn them like last year. When it's 20-30* it's nice to have some warmth.

ouch.. bummer. I just replaced the alternator in my BJ. Those aren't cheap either.

Mine died last month. Fortunately, the alt was still under warranty by one week. If you guessed that guy was pissed, you would be right.
No idea what all he replaced this time, but the amp needle no longer bounces now and then.

where did you get it done? I'm thinking about getting old one rebuilt and wound for higher wattage. For what I paid I couldn't go wrong with a new (not reman) denso from Toyota. Were your splines worn on the vacuum pump shaft? Did they replace it?

i'll bring a propane tank filled. I also have gas cans if anybody needs them with a nice swiss filler modded to work with the unleaded restrictor (thanks wes). I might just bring one filled just in case.

Well, this is a message that I dread typing. It looks like I have to make a last minute cancellation on this trip. Did I mention ? --->

Last Monday I started feeling a bunch of weird symptoms that had me concerned that I might have a heart attack. I then developed a rash about Wed and went to the doctor on Friday to verify that it is "shingles". Turns out many of the initial symptoms are shared between heart attack and shingles but the rash on only one side of the body is the kicker. The rash has continued to worsen as has the pain which makes it difficult to sleep or to do just about anything else. Shingles are a product of the chickenpox virus that is dormant within all of us that have had chickenpox or the vaccination. This is more common among older folks but is sometimes "activated" by stress or anxiety.

Sad to think the trip itself which I was so excited about could actually be what caused the problem but between getting my custom woodworking jobs done and getting vehicle and camping gear prepped, that may very well be the case.

Looking like the snow will start Monday on vail pass and continue Tuesday past when we drive through there. Shouldn't be too bad.

weather in Utah will be cold Tuesday and wednesday improving into the weekend with snow possible all the way back home Sunday

Real sorry to hear. I had to cancel Outlaws in 2005. I know how you feel. Plus being sick. Sorry to hear that more. What this also means is that we have to start planning the next one!

When we crossed it last the flow was 30CFS. 200CFS will be deep I think, but still should be manageable. Take lots of pictures.
