Crimson flames tied through my ears, rollin' high and mighty traps
Pounced with fire on flaming roads using ideas as my maps
"We'll meet on edges, soon," said I, proud 'neath heated brow
Ah, but I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now

Half-wracked prejudice leaped forth, "rip down all hate," I screamed
Lies that life is black and white spoke from my skull, I dreamed
Romantic facts of musketeers foundationed deep, somehow
Ah, but I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now

Girls' faces formed the forward path from phony jealousy
To memorizing politics of ancient history
Flung down by corpse evangelists, unthought of, though somehow
Ah, but I was so much older then. I'm younger than that now

A self-ordained professor's tongue too serious to fool
Spouted out that liberty is just equality in school
"Equality," I spoke the word as if a wedding vow
Ah, but I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now

In a soldier's stance, I aimed my hand at the mongrel dogs who teach
Fearing not that I'd become my enemy in the instant that I preach
My existence led by confusion boats, mutiny from stern to bow
Ah, but I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now

Yes, my guard stood hard when abstract threats too noble to neglect
Deceived me into thinking I had something to protect
Good and bad, I define these terms quite clear, no doubt, somehow
Ah, but I was so much older then I'm younger than that now

@bassguyry you guys need to add some Radio Moscow to your playlist :headbang:

You planted the ear worm.

My friend, you just had to suspect it to be true, didn't you?

Surely this has been posted on this thread already but it deserves to be posted either way....

"Lonely Tracks"
Laney Lou and the Bird Dogs
Originally from The Vigilante Sessions (2017)

"Laney Lou and the Bird Dogs recorded this original tune, Lonely Tracks, in the halls of Hawthorne Elementary School in Bozeman, MT. and entered it in the NPR Tiny Desk Contest. Thank you to all the friends who helped us shoot the video. Enjoy!"

"Don't light my fire"
Otoboke Beaver

So I stumbled upon these guys. I would say they are Japanese punk. I think they're pretty great and rock out pretty hard. they are coming to Denver in October. @stusic and I are planning on going.

Update, @stusic and I went to see these guys and it was pretty awesome. They're coming again too the Bluebird. If you're into garage punk, definitely worth seeing. @damon @Hulk ?!?!

Buy your tickets now! 😉
They sold out 90% of their shows stateside. They were sold out Tuesday at Globe Hall. I got my tickets, @stusic got his. I might have an extra ticket because I got one for my niece but I don't think she's old enough.

Saw the band Om at the Gothic Theater last night - one of my partner’s favorite bands. One of the members was in a band called Sleep, so I’m playing their seminal album Dopesmoker today.

Warning for those that click on the video: yes it’s one hour long track. Yes it takes a while to get rolling - the “intro” is probably about 8 minutes alone. Their are lyrics eventually. Once you get a taste for it, it’s best digested in its entirety. The pinnacle of slow sludge/doom metal in my opinion.

I feel like this would be great for a long drive, chain smoking. Or just have it on in the background while wrenching
