Doug Yule (plays the solo IIRC here) and Lou Reed on guitar, great melancholic song.

Jack White is one of the best guitarists around? You bet, just ask him. Wonder if the Velvet Underground would agree?

There's a dearth of good new music out there generally but there's definitely bright spots and modern day masters.

Billy Strings and Marcus King

This is likely the most Colorado thing you will ever see. One of my all fav artists too. Check out his sweet hat!

Great song! He could have been a skosh more Coloradan though. All he really needs is a plaid shirt and a puffy jacket. :p:

It's not the afternoon yet but here it goes...

One of my favorite songs from high school. If you listen to the lyrics that probably makes me seem pretty creepy but whatever, it's a great song.

Was featured on the TV (The Amazing Race) and it's stuck in the mellon now.

And speaking of memorable riffs.

Best comment: "My neighbours called the police on me for playing this song too quietly."

Released just today. Have not picked up the album yet, guess I'm still trying to decide if I like them/her (Katherine Paul). I do although what I have heard sounds similar so I'm not sure how diverse her music might be. I think the depth may be more in the themes than the sound so yeah, I'll probably get it eventually.

Not for me thanks. I'm still living in the past listening to dearly departed souls.

Fretless bass + ancient Stratocaster + Marshall stacks = heaven to me

LOL, that reminds me of something. Recently got around to watching the documentary Beware of Mr. Baker about Ginger Baker (yes, it's a round-about tangent via Cream). Who's the best dummer ever in rock? Ginger Baker, just ask him!

Anyway, there's a quote from the movie that was making the rounds a few years ago. Ginger Baker said "Bonham had technique but he couldn't swing a sack of sh!t. The same with Moonie. If they were alive today, ask them."

RIP Jack Bruce.
