What with the oil filter next to the carb? Shouldn't it be on the other side of the engine?
I think that is the stock location for a 1F. See Martin's:

Curious why this has a bit of rust and black spray paint underneath considering it only has 1k miles. Also strange it went from 0-174 miles in 24 years, then 174 to exactly 1,000 miles in weeks, then only adding 5 miles in the next 3 years. Should be interesting to watch.

That's where mine is. Ironically the part number on mine is for early-late 70's scout 🤷🏽‍♂️

also @subzali what was the remedy for that? Mine hangs down exactly the same way as pictured and I am hesitant on its location
I don’t think I understand. It’s in the stock location, so don’t there is a remedy per se. ??

Sorry I was asking what your solution for the low hanging exhaust was.

The first part was about my oil filter being in the same spot next to the carb

Oh. I had an exhaust shop route it above the skid plate. I think they hacked a notch in the plate though so it’s not a great solution but it keeps it from getting squished

I agree, it’s not like it’s an 80 series or something.
Yeah, it's about $20k short of an 80...

What is going on in this world!?
