I will be curious to see if this gets bid up or not.

I messaged the seller at the beginning of August on Mud because he mentioned wanting to sell it in a posting. He was thinking it was a $35k cruiser based on Cruiser Corps telling him that. I don't see it going for nearly that much...

I wonder if the seller is actually going to post any pictures from underneath to show the rust. I'm surprised that isn't required by BAT as part of the initial listing.

I would think Cruiser Corp would know the market better than me, but I can’t imagine the market is at 35k. To be fair a LHD 4x’s Troopy is rare, and this truck is low miles & drives spectacularly (or at least it did when I owned it). It has a ton of great qualities & unique history. But I wouldn’t have even started with an ask of 35k. OST if the bed is on great shape, but it does have significant Rust in some areas under there. Plus it was hit on the rear corner since my ownership & that damage is still there.

This 1st gen 4runner is built just right. Would be a good DD/highway driver with the 3.4 swap and manual transmission - and plenty capable on the trails with the steering and suspension setup. No affiliation or knowledge of the rig.

$26,000. I would still like a LHD troopy someday. Has to be a 6 cyl engine for me though. That’s probably super rare.

I have seen two lhd HJ45 Troopy over the years, both in the EU. so the diesel 6 cylinders must be really rare. But if you aren't against a gas engine, the FJ45 Troopys are more common in the middle east. Otherwise, if you don't mind going to a 7x model and skipping the 40 series coolness, you could get a LHD HZJ75 out of the EU in LHD, with all the added niceties that come with those.

I'm a bit stunned that truck went for 26k though. The market is crazy high these days.

I have seen plenty of Trekkers and first gen Trailblazer's but have never seen a second generation one!

Wow, Nolan's 40 is already at $40k.
Really stunned honestly. On the one side, like most people, I've always really liked that truck. But objectively, it has a lot of rust & other body damage. I would have never guessed it would blow past 40k!

Something to be said for marketing... not sure if you guys all follow 89nolder on the IG but Nolan's a bit of an institution there. So the perceived value of that rig is a lot higher because of it. IMO, of course. GLWA!

Totally agree. He has been posting up weekly photos of the build since 2016. He's an instagram celebrity.

How rare are the ambulance doors on the 80?

I saw Brian Wilson's new BJ70 and it has the best rear bumper with a rear tire carrier on it I've seen where it's integrated into the door. Anywho...
