You guys are always invited and welcome to any of our runs. It was a pleasure running with your crew last year. As long as you don't mind dealing with a large group and uncertain trail conditions.

Perhaps someone else would be willing to setup up another run in January as an option with less rigs. Hint hint.;)

Hint noted.

Thanks Scott! I know I also thoroughly enjoyed the run & pizza last year, but will be bowing out this year. I am in the process of executing my plan of some upgrades before spring. Rebuilt 2F is almost ready to fire up, ARB Air Locker next, etc.

Hope you all have a great time! :thumb:

Sounds like this run is going to be too crowded for my liking, so I'm not planning on it either, but if you want to go snowbashing sometime soon, let me know. :thumb:

Guess i'm gonna have to ride with Jacket then:rolleyes::hill:

Or a run could be planned anytime for people that can't make it or won't make it to the S/P Run...like we did last year (I couldn't make the S/P Run last year but had a free day so planned a run):

That snow sounds crunchy as all get out. If I recall right UB said it would not hold a person's weight, am I correct? If so there is going to be a whole lot of winching and strapping going on.

Do you remember what PSI you were running, I did not see much of a "bulge" in your tires?

How far did you guys get? Did you go all the way over to the St. Mary's glacier side? Just wondering how that downhill section is. Bill and I had to winch downhill for most of the way.

Just another reminder for the newbies, remember to air down your tires to at least 12-14# 10 would be even better. You'll float like a butterfly and .........................well you know.

Bad news on the weather side. I spent some time this morning with the weather guy in our office and right now the jet stream is positioned to keep Denver and the mountains short on snow through the middle of Jan. However, maybe that is a good thing. We all know weahter people are wrong so if he says no snow, we should get a ton of snow. Cross your fingers.

I was running 15 in the front and 18 in the rear for a big a$$ 80. The snow is all crystals with a 6" crust. It will not support a person's weight. We made it to the top section where you can go down to Rollins or up Yankee. The venture into the forest wasn't the best choice as the bail out turn around was a wee bit dodgy without a winch.

The snow conditions varied a lot along the trail. We had areas were there was deep powder with no crust and there were also areas were there was a thick crust that you could walk on. Lots of opportunity to use the winch and snatch straps.

Conditions are terrible! I wouldn't go up there! :p: Rockrunner, there is no "floating" on crystaline snow that has a soft crust! You power through it and it gets easier for each vehicle behind you, period! I ran 16lbs and broke trail most of the day.

You guys should definitely come down!

I was just saying that I wasn't going to go if there was a big group because I know it makes for a long day, and I can't be incommunicado in the hills for the whole day because my wife is pregnant and getting close to the due date. ;)

That's right. We hope you join us. I was directing that to other club members to entice them to setup more runs for more options for everyone.

I say if you set the date and time and others will follow. I would be up there every time there was a good fresh snow if I had the time. As long as there are a few good prepared men to strap you back as needed then there is plenty of snow wheelin' fun to be had IMO.

Or a run could be planned anytime for people that can't make it or won't make it to the S/P Run...like we did last year (I couldn't make the S/P Run last year but had a free day so planned a run):
