Welcome aboard! You're not an out-of-towner anymore. Come to the meeting next week, and after the snow run you can be an official club member as well...assuming you still like us after that.

It's going to be an interesting run if we don't get more snow with a little melt before.

I am getting pretty psyched about this run....can you tell it's the off season and I am itchen for seat time in the 40?

Heater works on your pant leg or if you hold your hands in front of the shifter.

The way I will be dressed for the day, it will look like I am waiting for a bus stop in Northern Canada behind wheel.

Dostal Alley was the only place I checked out in Central City. Parking would be difficult for our group as well as space inside.

I walked into the pizza place across from Bea Jo’s and couldn’t envision a group of our size fitting in there. I think there was another pizza place there but I didn’t have time to check it out. I like the idea of Beau Jo's in terms of a fixed price per person for pizza and pop and our own room (upstairs).

I talked to one of the managers there today (Steve). I hadn’t been able to get a hold of the other manager Brian that James (Black Diamond) referred me too. But, I got Steve to commit to 11.00 per person including soda’s. Plus 2.9% tax and 20% gratuity (about 13.50 per person). That does seem a little steep. But, we would have the buffet in our room and could choose an unlimited amount of 3 different kinds of pizza. They would then do separate checks for the salad bar and beer if we wanted.

So 50 people x 8.50=425.00. So I would suggest recommending a donation of 5-10.00 person and raising the approved amount to 400.00 since our club size has grown. I plan to be at the meeting to discuss this.

Maybe next year we can find another suitable place in Central City\Black Hawk or Idaho Springs.

Sounds good Scott. I figured all the other places would be small, bummer. Like you said always next year.

Just picked up some gear, tow straps and such need for the snow run. No chains but I think I'll be fine.
