Jim those bikes are rad, I'd love something like that. I bet those ride a treat.

I say do it. Then lets do a vintage bike only (normal for Jim) bikepacking trip.

Is there any way to get disk brakes on an old frame besides like brazing on mounts?

Also stack height... I need those bars up lol.

Depending on the type of riding you want to do and what size you want this might be an EXCELLENT frame. It’s a copy of a Bridgestone XO-1: 26” wheels, geometry designed for mustache bars (so drops might not be too long of a reach), high bottom bracket. Another Grant Peterson concoction.

I had one of the original XOXOs and it was such a fun bike. The first run was Reynolds 857 which to me is a little thin to really beat on. This is the “reboot” from a few years ago and is made from sturdier Reynolds 520. That’s their ATB version of 531. Same metallurgy but thicker walls.
