@IoN6 weren't you looking for a shop truck? This one would fit the bill nicely.

Today I kinda want this.

I've found one even better that I've been drooling over. 5spd, cloth seats, LHD, rear diff lock, 1HD-FTE. It checks about all of the boxes.

The dilemma I am in is, how do I convince my wife that we need to buy and import this 100, right after I've convinced her it was time to sell our perfectly fine old 100???

That's my Rig. If any Rising Sun members are interested contact me and we can make a deal. I would like to see it go to someone who gets what it is thanks!
I think I've seen this around the Central Park area? Have you got any other cool Toyotas?

Currently down to a lifted GX470 that is the family daily and I am building a 80 series with a 2jzge turbo 5spd swap that I am half way through.
Here is the 80 build, actually sold the 1FZ to a RS member.

The build for the 100 series is here, they closed it though when it was listed for sale.

In the past I manual swapped an 01 tacoma double cab (1st gen DC's were only automatics) and sold it while back.

I had a lifted '85 extended cab pickup with the 22R that I regret selling except it wasn't a sr5 so no a/c. Somewhere in CO.

My Favorite was a 95 sc300 that is the lexus version of the supra, It was turbocharged and 5spd, just over 400hp and super reliable.
Regret selling that one I think it was parted out later in CO for some reason.

Not a toyota but I did one of the first 2.7t swaps on a B7 Audi. Now they have a wiring harness and it's much easier to do.
Regret selling that one also just cause it drove so amazing with the 6spd and quattro and was very sporty.

I also built a '71 corvette in Brands Hatch Green with a 6speed T56 conversion (replacing stock th400).
Ran a dual barrel carb with mechanical secondary's and it was always ready to accelerate.
Def regret selling that one but it had sidepipes and a carb so I always smelled like gasoline.
Next one will have to have a LS swap or EFI if I ever decide to get one of those again.

I would like to build a 40 sometime but not sure when that will happen exactly.

That's exactly what I'm looking for right now 😅

Not much info, seller says it's an automatic. RHD, cool high boy roof. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/3695430127410285/?mibextid=dXMIcH
That one’s been for sale for a year, maybe more. 38th & Sheridan in Wheat Ridge, behind the King Sooper. I think he started at $23k. I got some additional photos from him a while back and there’s rust bubbling through a repaint in all the usual spots - so it has the same rust issues as every other 60 but because of the repaint (and improper prep) you’re working blind. He didn’t know anything about the repaint, or at least didn’t want to talk about it.

You wouldn't have sold the 2.7t swapped S4 if you'd installed K04's in it like I told ya....

That's funny, you're thinking of my brothers B6 S4 that was 2.7t swapped, same last name he is a member here also.
His was one of the early ones into a B6. I liked it so much I did the same with a B7 A4. K04s would have been fun for sure!

Just in general anyone have tips for dealing with people selling things on Facebook? I've been trying to grab a factory elocker off of there in this past week. First one was just a third member I told him I wanted to bench test and he ghosted me. Second one was on a parts truck and lady only spoke Spanish (had to use google translate), appears to have also ghosted me. And another one from a parts truck (this one english speaking) seems to have probably ghosted me too. Does asking a bunch of questions before looking at things just turn most people off? I left out the bench test part on the last two but have been trying to clarify that I want the third and the axle tube and asked the last guy about gear ratios. Should I just have them throw me an offer and immediately work out a time to meet then spring questions and spring the bench test on them?

May be that with e-lockers they are going to sell fast so it's a low drag approach. Some else is probably not asking questions and saying "I'll take it whatever."

So, yeah, buying one from an unknown seller on Facebook or Craigslist is going to take an act of faith. Show up first, cash in hand, do the best inspection you can and walk away if it seems off.

Yeah asking a bunch of questions scares people off. They just want to sell some old junk not answer a bunch of questions. I usually just ask straight up when can I come view it and then do whatever inspection or testing when you're there.

Yeah, asking too many questions totally turns people off. I usually responded with; I'm interested. I would like to come look at your item, whats your availability? I would inspect at viewing time, like buying a car or looking at a used bicycle. If they think that's strange than move on or take the risk.

At one time I wouldn't do this, but it has been done enough times to me that Ill respond with. I'm interested, will you take this much $. Usually when I do this it's a fairly low offer.

don't. far too many scams
This doesn’t apply to the parts you are buying, but if anyone doesn’t know yet Craigslist now charges a small fee to list any vehicle. It has basically eliminated all vehicle scams on there.
