When I was looking for what turned out to be my first FJ40 in 1973 I briefly considered buying a 50s Willys wagon like this one. Sooo glad I went with the Cruiser as it opened up a wonderful world of 50 years of Toyota ownership.
I was actively looking for a Willys when I stumbled upon my cruiser and bought it. I haven't had it quite 50 years lol, but I too am also happy I got a cruiser instead.

As you know Steve, I grew up in Toledo. Willys trucks all over the place. When I was a kid riding in the back seat of my parents various cars (Mazda, Olds 88, Datsun 210, etc) the original Willys factory and it’s giant smokestack was always a landmark. The whole thing was torn down a few years ago. I have a soft spot for flatfenders and early Willys wagons.

Subaru Brat with title. This thing’s been beat on, but doesn’t seem too rusty. Starts and runs. $1300. Paging @HDavis

not on the book of face marketplace yet, but a friend is going to part with her 1991 geo metro lsi convertible. don't know if anyone is interested.

$600. she drove it to her farm from her parents place last year and parked it in the barn. the radio is out and the rear window on the top fell in. she's said it's a fun little roller skate, but definitely not a highway car.

Owned a 1991 geo metro coupe 3cylinder carb car.
It was my wedding present

Got close to 50mpg
Not sexy but tires and gas were cheap so was insurance
Got me through first 5 years of my “adult married” life

If I could find one of those I would buy it yesterday

Sad we need batteries and 2020 technology to approach that level of efficiency

My buddies Honda crx and probably others were similar mileage and a lot higher quality

Get off my lawn
