I found a contender for the Yellow LX. There is much to say about this one.
That poor AHC system with those bumpers. Wow. Those bumpers...

Lol that looks like someone saw the fat lip on 99+ 3rd gen 4runners and said hold my beer. Dear Lord though, the approach angle on that thing is horrendous...

Did they actually succeed in making the approach angle worse? It looks so...

It does mention "Cold Weather Spec". My guess would be a block heater?
It is not.

from @HDavis link posted above

A viscous heater (also known as Power Heater) on a Land Cruiser and is a pump bolted to the engine and is manufactured by Denso. It churns up a silicone gel inside the pump as it rotates when the engine is running, this in turn generates heat quickly through friction.

The heater then warms the engine coolant which passes through the viscous heater which in turn passes into the vehicles heating system and so warming up you quickly on a cold frosty day.

Wow that would have been super handy the past couple of days. At least this cold spell has told me that my battery is probably needing replacement soon, it was definitely a little weak on the cranking amps the last few days (but the engine it self still fired right up in 1.5 seconds even with those lower starter revs). I had suspected this was probably the case anyway with the date code on my battery.

I wouldn’t call this a screaming deal, but there’s an HJ61 with the 12HT for sale in the Denver area at $23000. Apparently it passed emissions and was registered in Jefferson County. The seller is responsive for what it’s worth, but they seem to be running a backyard car lot - there’s 1st and 2nd gen 4Runners and a Volvo P1800 for sale. Not sure an HJ61 casually sitting in someone’s yard engenders a ton of confidence for me. Seller claims it’s a Japanese vehicle. We’re high roof 61s ever made in SA?

PTO and high roof. Too bad about the running boards.

Potentially leaky sunroof sucks, but I’ve always thought that ceiling mounted console was cool.

Roof is painted white … stock or a respray?

I asked about rust and the seller sent me this photo below. He says the frame is clean and would take pictures when it’s warmer.

I messaged the seller out of curiosity (you never know, if the price comes down it might be in reach for me).

1. He’s honest about a respray that happened before he bought it.

2. He sent several videos including cold start and running.

3. Says he bought it locally 4-5 years ago. Anybody recognize this thing?

3. He sent photos of emissions slips with the plate number matching the plates in the photos so it must be successfully registered.

4. PTO winch works

I still can’t speak to whether or not this one is worth it, but the seller seems up front. Probably worthwhile for a seriously interested party with cash burning a hole in their pocket to go see it. Looks like he’s at 38th & Sheridan.

I recognize it as being for sale for the last 4 years. Hes had a 70 series for sale in the past as well.

For some reason I’ve never seen that one for sale here. He said he bought it 4 years ago so I wonder if he paid a low price for it and has just been fishing this whole time. Interesting.

He has definitely been fishing, the Volvo has been around that long too. I'm actually pretty surprised he hasn't sold either of them.

Tempting, even with the non running status.

Seems like a lot after seeing the similar craigslist one that ran sell for under $3500...
