I thought the taco nest's were sloped at the entry point? Nak, wouldn't you just build a tube platform to put your current tent on there? I've seen some cool one's that keep the top of the RTT at the same height as the top of the cab.

That's a thought, but if I'm taking a RTT I'd rather just have the truck under it with a fridge & drawers. I don't need another RTT option, but OTOH the 'nest is a whole different experience.

Haven't you BTDT?

3x. :D.

No seriously it would be my dad's, apparently he wants to get rid of it or at least leave it in Colorado for the winter, so I'm offering to take it over.

I had my first impression of an 80 in MountainGoat's rig on Wednesday. I can't stop thinking how nice that would be. Thanks, Dan.

You are welcome Mike. The 80 is a great family rig if you want to be able to go pretty much anywhere in comfort. It doesn't take a ton of mods to be a very capable truck. :thumb:

That one doesn't look bad at all. It would be worth a look if you are ready to move on getting one.

Careful, the wife is spoiled by the 80 & will probably never ride in the 40....willingly at least. The kids love it though & I'll use the peer pressure to prevail!!!

Somebody got a cool rig last month. It looks like there was a pop-up troopy for sale at the Rally. No idea how much.
